Stats Perform Deal Cements Relationship With Betting Sector

The extension of the agreement between Stats Perform and the top Leagues in the United Kingdom is excellent news for the sports betting industry.

The deal incorporates the official rights to provide player market data for football betting sites, including statistics such as shots on target or completed passes.

The company also currently holds the rights to Spanish La Liga, French Ligue 1 and German Bundesliga, but may face a challenge elsewhere in Europe.

Italy’s Serie A recently confirmed it would put data provision and other elements up for tender for the 2024/25 season and beyond

Serie A Invites Tenders for Nine Packages

The betting rights of Serie A are amongst a range of nine media and data packages the Italian top flight are putting out to tender.

Each package covers a different aspect of the league’s global or domestic media and betting rights – with Package A undoubtedly the most lucrative.

This encompasses audiovisual rights, match data, player data and coach data from Serie A for leading betting markets such as the UK and Germany.

Stats Perform are the current rights holders, but they will face competition for a renewal from Genius Sports, IMG and Sportradar.
