  • New NFL innovation could gain global traction.

Newcastle Extend Links with Betting Industry

UK marks their latest foray into the gambling sector, with the club already boasting partnerships with two high-profile betting sites.

Brand visibility around St James Park will be a core part of the new deal, with front of jersey and sleeve sponsorship not included.

This falls in line with the Premier League’s plans to ban clubs from having betting companies on the front of their shirts from the 2026/27 season onwards.

The partnership with BetMGM strengthens Newcastle’s links with their home city, with the betting firm’s UK headquarters located there.

‘Collaboration’ the Key to Maintaining Integrity

This week’s ‘Regulating the Game’ event in London has featured a stacked programme covering regulatory and other issues impacting the list of UK betting sites.

The ‘Sports Betting Integrity and Match-Fixing Risks’ talk was led by Steve Paine, Director at Evolve Sports Integrity, who spoke at length about raising standards in betting integrity practices.

The subject of micro-betting raised its head, with several attendees concerned whether this innovation could lead to increased fraudulent activity.

Paine did not rule out the possibility, urging operators and regulators to collaborate closely to ensure any risks and vulnerabilities are identified at the earliest opportunity.

NFL Data Innovation Could Transform Betting Globally

The NFL’s official data distributor, Genuis Sports, has launched a new innovation which could revolutionise the way people wager on sports across the world.

Their BetVision platform increases engagement by allowing fans to watch and wager on NFL games on the same screen on selected betting apps.

Customers can place bets on the same screen while watching the game, marking a significant shift in how US sportsbooks have previously operated.

The NFL is the only league currently offered on BetVision, but it would be no surprise to see the platform utilised by many other major sports in the future.
