Ruling Court Powers Home Under Buick

Ruling Court jumped to the top of the market for the 2000 Guineas and the Epsom Derby on betting apps after powering clear of his rivals in the final two furlongs.

The colt was slowly away under Buick but got a nice tow into the race before surging past the field two furlongs from home. He was five-and-a-half lengths clear at the line.

Ruling Court will now bid to follow in the footsteps of Kameko, who won the same maiden before going on to claim victory in the 2000 Guineas in 2019.

HRI Introduces New Jumps Race Series

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) has introduced 60 new races that will be confined to trainers who have saddled fewer than 50 jumps winners in either of the previous two seasons.

The innovative new series will start on January 1 and includes handicap hurdles, beginners’ chases, maiden hurdles and bumper races.

HRI has launched the series to give trainers further down the rankings more opportunities to win races without competition from the top Irish stables.

Fitzdares CEO Issues Warning to Racing Industry

The Chief Executive Officer of Fitzdares has urged British racing industry bosses to improve the sport to make it more appealing to bettors.

William Woodhams says his company could cease covering racing in Great Britian due to it becoming increasingly unappealing to their audience.

Several bookmakers are currently refusing to offer early prices for meetings at selected courses due to a row over the price they pay to stream racing live action online and in betting shops.
