Punter Scoops More Than £37,000 From Ambitious Football Bet

A savvy football punter is more than £37,000 richer after resisting the temptation to chase a £1 million payout from an ambitious 13-team accumulator.

After the first nine selections came in on the £7.89 wager, the bettor opted to cash in the bet rather than risk waiting for the final four games to be played.

Read on as we look at how the punter took one of the best football betting sites in the business for a whopping payout last weekend.

Highlights

  • Luton and Everton get the ball rolling.
  • Inter defeat bumps up the odds.
  • Betis victory could have been devastating.

Ambitious Wager Delivers Huge Payout

The 13-fold multiple wager covered matches in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Scottish Premiership. The selections were as follows:

  • Luton Town vs Everton – Draw - 5/2
  • Brentford vs Fulham -Draw – 13/5
  • Newcastle United to beat Burnley – 19/20
  • Atletico Bilbao to beat Getafe – 1/1
  • Real Sociedad to beat Las Palmas – 1/3
  • Atletico Madrid to beat Real Mallorca – 11/10
  • Torino vs Bologna – Draw – 19/10
  • AC Monza vs Lazio – Draw - 5/2
  • Sassuolo to beat Inter Milan – 5/1
  • Osasuna vs Real Betis – Draw – 21/10
  • Rangers to beat Kilmarnock – 1/4
  • Brighton & Hove Albion to beat Aston Villa – 17/10
  • AC Milan to beat Genoa – 4/9

Luton’s 1-1 draw with Everton got the ball rolling on Friday night, before eight other selections proved to be successful the following day.

The most eye-catching pick was Sassuolo to beat Inter, with the relegation-threatened side priced at 5/1 to beat the newly-crowned champions.

Armand Lauriente netted the winning goal to keep their hopes of avoiding the drop alive and hand a sizeable boost to the accumulator.

Punter Takes Safety First Approach

With four Sunday games still to play, the punter adopted a cautious approach and cashed out the bet to collect a tasty £37,463.12 payout.

The decision was quickly vindicated when Osasuna’s Jon Moncayola was dismissed in the 26th minute of their home game against Betis.

The visitors took advantage to claim a 2-0 victory – a result which would have ended the punter’s hopes of landing the accumulator.

Rangers and Brighton triumphed in their respective games, but Genoa’s 3-3 draw with Milan ensured the punter could rest easy with the cash out decision.
