Lucky Punter Lands Whopping £103,611 Windfall

An ambitious punter pocketed a massive £103,611 payout after every selection in an eight-fold each-way accumulator won their respective races.

The bettor staked 50 pence each-way on one of the top horse racing betting sites in the United Kingdom on six races at Catterick and two at Wexford.

Read on as we take a closer look at the inspired bet, which included two selections most bettors would not have given much chance to.

Highlights

  • Chasing debutant gets the bet off to a flyer.
  • Outsiders boost the returns.
  • Furzig nearly scuppers the bet.

The Winning Bet

The punter took early prices for each of their eight selections rather than the SP. The best was as follows:

  • Broomfield Bijou – Wexford 2.28 – 11/8
  • Easy Peeler – Catterick 2.40 – 5/6
  • Chuti Manika – Catterick 3.10 – 11/8
  • Harmonia – Catterick 3.40 – 2/1
  • Swinging Eddie – 4.10 Catterick – 20/1
  • Fuzrig – 4.40 Catterick – 11/4
  • One Of Our Own – Catterick 5.10 – 9/2
  • Three By Two – Wexford 5.28 – 18/1

Punter Survives a Scare to hit the Jackpot

Broomfield Bijou got the ambitious accumulator off to the perfect start when making a successful chasing debut the opening race at Wexford.

The focus then switched to Catterick, where Easy Peeler, Chuti Manika and Harmonia justified fairly short odds to win their respective races.

Swinging Eddie was the fifth selection in the seven furlongs handicap, but looked an unlikely winner having failed to record a victory since May last year.

However, the eight-year-old dug deep under jockey Sam James to emerge victorious and keep the accumulator firmly on track.

The punter survived a scare in the sixth leg, with Furzig doing his best to get beat before prevailing by a nose from Freddy Robinson in the 1m 4f handicap.

One Of Our Own claimed the final race at Catterick, before Three By Two completed the accumulator by winning Wexford’s closing 3m1½f handicap chase.

The horse was backed into 9/1 on betting apps, leaving the punter delighted at grabbing double those odds earlier in the day.
