Willie Mullins had a handful of entries in the race, but has narrowed things down to Hipop De Loire. However, he makes limited appeal at odds of 7/1. 
 
The seven-year-old does not fit the recent age profile trend, while winning the Ebor without a recent run has proved to be a tricky task. 
 
Naqueeb, Fairbanks, Magical Zoe and Epic Poet could all be competitive, while it would be foolish to write off Burdett Road and Relentless Voyager. 
 
Looking further down the betting list, Northumberland Plate winner Onesmoothoperator appeals as the value each-way bet. 
 
Trainer Brian Ellison is eyeing a tilt at the Melbourne Cup with the six-year-old and winning the Ebor would secure an automatic spot in the race. 
 
He is drawn well in stall five, ticks several other key trend boxes and has had plenty of time to get over his last run. On that basis, odds of 18/1 look tempting.
