Following the monotony of domestic action, the UEFA Champions League returns, with some of the favourites looking to put down a marker this week. Real Madrid have been banging the goals in domestically and they will be looking to do the same at RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich have been leaking plenty of goals, so will they do the same against Lazio, whilst PSG and Real Sociedad face off in an intriguing tie in Paris.
RB Leipzig vs Real Madrid – Over 2.5 goals in the game
4/6 at Rhino Bet
The start of 2024 has been a superb one for Real Madrid, who have cut themselves clear of the chasing pack in La Liga and they will want to continue that here in Europe. RB Leipzig are a force to be reckoned with at home in the Champions League, having pushed Manchester City all the way in the group stages, they will have a good crack at Real here. Missing Jude Bellingham will hurt Madrid but they have plenty of players that catch the eye with both punters and UCL betting sites and the goals could be flowing at both ends here at the Red Bull Arena.
Lazio vs Bayern Munich – Both teams to score
3/4 at Betzone
It has been a troublesome few weeks for Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel, with Bayer Leverkusen potentially leaving them for dead in the Bundesliga title race. However, for all the doom and gloom surrounding the Allianz Arena currently, Bayern remain in the last 16 of the Champions League and with a job to do here against Lazio. The Italian stalwarts have impressed again in the Champions League this season and they will be bang up for this one at home, with both sides likely to get on the scoresheet.
PSG vs Real Sociedad – Over 3.5 goals in the game
12/5 at Fitzdares
The wait for a Champions League title continues to rumble on but having progressed from a tough group including AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United, PSG may well be fancying their chances of going all the way. In the last 16 they take on Real Sociedad, one of the most dangerous sides in the competition and a team that continue to punch above their weight in European and domestic competitions. Both sides play on the front foot and whilst PSG will want to secure a lead at home in the 1st leg, Sociedad will give this a good go in the French capital.
