The knockout stages of the Champions League are famously unforgiving, and two giants of the modern game will have to have their wits about them if they are to progress to the last 16 here. Both Manchester City and Real Madrid hold first leg advantages over FC Copenhagen and RB Leipzig respectively, but they will need to guard against complacency if they are to book their quarter final spots.
Manchester City vs FC Copenhagen – Manchester City to win
1/4 at Rhino Bet
As the defending Champions League winners, Manchester City have plenty expected of them this season by all UCL betting sites and they will want to keep their unbeaten record in the competition going, as they take on FC Copenhagen. City dominated the first leg between the two sides at Parken but remain dominant at the Etihad in particular and they will feel they have the tools to get the job done.
Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig – Real Madrid to win
4/7 at Betzone
La Liga leaders Real Madrid have been in good nick domestically and they will want to transition that form to the Champions League here. They hold a slender 1-0 advantage over RB Leipzig following the first leg and they will feel that the first goal will be key at home here. Experience is often key in the Champions League and whilst Leipzig will look to make life very tough, Real are too long in the tooth and they should manage to prevail.
Manchester City vs FC Copenhagen – Both Teams To Score – No
8/11 at Fitzdares
Whilst the 3-1 result in Denmark last month wasn’t particularly standout, it doesn’t tell the whole story, as City were utterly dominant at Parken, with a defensive error from Ederson gifting FC Copenhagen a goal. City do look to have clicked into gear a little since then too, finding form in the Premier League and they will want to keep things tight at the back, shut out Copenhagen, and move on to the quarter finals.
