Having finally broken their Champions League duck last season, Manchester City do look to have found another gear in Europe this term. Winning all six group games is ominous for the sides hoping to chase them down and they are the favourites to win the Champions League again this term with many UCL betting sites. RB Leipzig vs Real Madrid – Real Madrid to win
13/10 at Betzone
Whilst City are still coming down from winning one Champions League, Real Madrid have won a mesmeric 14 European Cups, and they look well placed to challenge again this season. They take on RB Leipzig in the last 16, a side that reached the last 4 in 2020 and who are particularly difficult to beat at home. Carlo Ancelotti has his Real Madrid side firing though and their youth and exuberance could indeed prove too much for RB Leipzig in this one.
Lazio vs Bayern Munich – Bayern Munich to win
4/6 at Fitzdares
Bayern Munich have not won the Champions League for 10 years and they are in the midst of a mini crisis under Thomas Tuchel. Off the pace in the Bundesliga and fresh off a 3-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern will be welcome of the distraction the Champions League provides. Lazio however is always a tough assignment, with the Stadio Olimpico crowd famously unforgiving at the atmosphere in Rome will be at fever pitch. Bayern Munich will need to dig deep here but they have the players to hurt Lazio and they should just about prevail on the road.
