With each side now having played two games in the Champions League this term, the new look table is starting to take shape. Defending champions Real Madrid fell to a defeat at French side Lille last time out but will want to bounce back here against 2024 finalists Borussia Dortmund. Elsewhere, PSG welcome Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, whilst Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon travel to Austrian giants Sturm Graz.

A repeat of the 2024 Champions League final is on the agenda here and how Real Madrid will want to press home their advantage against Borussia Dortmund. Real were uncharacteristically below par on the road at Lille last time out and they know that they can’t afford any more slip-ups over the next few games. Dortmund meanwhile find themselves sat pretty at the top of the Champions League table, following a pair of thumping wins and they will be out to cause a seismic shock here. That doesn’t feel too likely though and Real Madrid should return to winning ways in this one.
PSG vs PSV Eindhoven – PSG to win.

French champions PSG were firmly humbled by Arsenal last time out and they will want to respond here, as they take on Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven. With PSV so dominant domestically, they simply do not lose many games and whilst this will be a very tough test on the road at PSG, they should enter it full of confident. However, the Parc du Princes should be rocking here and as PSG look to force their way into the elite of European football, they should be picking up home wins in games such as this.
Sturm Graz vs Sporting Lisbon – Sporting Lisbon to win.

It has been a tough opening to life in the Champions League for Austrian champions Sturm Graz and things don’t look to be getting too much easier, with Sporting Lisbon in town next. The Portuguese giants are ready to take their Champions League aspirations to the next level and it is games such as this where their progress will be defined. Sturm Graz should make this tough and their home fans will be bang up for it in Klagenfurt, but Sporting Lisbon should manage to pick up all three points in this one.
