Having fought their way through the group stages, some of the biggest names in European football are now looking ahead to the lure of Champions League glory, as the knockout rounds begin. Inter Milan were the 2023 runners-up, and they take on Atletico Madrid in a tricky looking last 16 tie, whilst Arsenal travel to FC Porto and Napoli and Barcelona lock horns in Southern Italy.
Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid – Inter Milan to win

Whilst not many UCL betting sites predicted that Inter Milan would reach the Champions League Final last year, the Italian giants have continued to go from strength to strength this season. They are sitting pretty at the top of Serie A, and they will be relishing the challenge Atletico Madrid pose here. Diego Simeone’s side are always tough to beat, and they will be disruptive from the outset but Inter have a new found grit about them this season and they should pick up an important home win here.
FC Porto vs Arsenal – Arsenal to win

With 11 goals scored in their last two Premier League away games, Arsenal look to be coming god at just the right time and they will be chomping at the bit to get going here against FC Porto. For the hosts, staying in the tie will be the aim, as they look to take something back to London with them next month, but Arsenal are purring, and Mikel Arteta’s side should pick up an impressive and hefty first leg win here.
Napoli vs Barcelona – Draw

Two of the most entertaining sides left in the Champions League meet here, as Napoli host Barcelona. For the hosts, not winning the Champions League from a position of relative strength last season will be a huge frustration and they will be out to make this as tough as possible for Barcelona. For Xavi’s men meanwhile, the magnitude of this assignment is obvious, and they know that not losing may be more important than winning, when they return to the Nou Camp. This will be a great watch, with a draw seemingly on the cards.
