Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 30/06

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s race card line up features meetings at Cartmel, Uttoxeter, Wolverhampton and The Curragh across the UK and Ireland, giving us a great opportunity to cap the weekend with some more profit. Yesterday, two of our three selections placed, so let’s hope for improved form today. Check out our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Tunbridge Wells – The Curragh, 13:40

Tunbridge Wells showed impressive pace to win at The Curragh over C&D earlier this month, edging out subsequent Queen Mary runner-up Mighty Eriu in the process.

The Ballydoyle pick for Aidan O’Brien today, the 2-year-old could be open to further progression and the application of cheekpieces for this race could make him a major player again. Definitely one to size up on online horse racing betting sites.

Elsewhere, Arizona Blaze has to be considered based on current form. Three of his last four races took place at The Curragh between March and May and his record of 1-2-1 from those efforts was eye-catching.

Suited by this shorter trip, he should be right in the mix again. Recent Goodwood winner over 6f, Principality, is another horse with credentials here.

Best Tip #2: Not Now Nathaniel – Cartmel, 13:30

Donald McCain holds an excellent recent record in this renewal and he could enjoy more success in the Hadwins Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle with Not Now Nathaniel.

She followed up a fine win at Aintree in May with another triumph at Bangor in a Class 4 event earlier this month. The latter was secured with relative ease and despite being hit with a double penalty, she is taken to defy the handicappers.

Hard as Nails has been in the frame in each of her first three races this year, finishing second at Stratford, first at Southwell and second again at Newton Abbot.

A dual bumper winner, she is already shaping up to be a consistent sort over hurdles and the 6-year-old offers Fergal O’Brien a decent shot at victory here.

Best Roughie: Investment Manager – Uttoxeter, 15:00

Joe Tizzard’s Investment Manager jumped with confidence and beat four rivals to the post at Newton Abbot over 3m2f on his first appearance of the season on May 29th and he could come into contention again over the same distance here.

The 8-year-old finished the winter in very reliable form and he looked the part again after his layoff. The good conditions at Uttoxeter should suit and there is an attractive price to work with on the best betting apps in the UK.

Hang In There also warrants respect in his current form. The seven-time case winner, the experienced 10-year-old has raced twice this year, finishing second on each occasion.

Attempting a new distance off a career-high mark today isn’t exactly ideal, however, he has enough ability to make an impact for Miss EC Lavelle.

Stats and Insights

  • The Curragh is a unique setting that can provide a stiff test for a horse’s stamina due to the challenging uphill finish near the end. Jockeys Colin Keane, Ryan Moore and WJ Lee have won numerous races at The Curragh over the last five seasons.
  • We like our tipped horses to be involved near the front at Cartmel due to the tricky nature of the circuit. Trainers James Moffatt, Donald McCain, Sam England and Ben Haslam are usually the ones to follow during meetings at Cartmel.
  • While the track at Uttoxeter is a fair setting for most, the fences are demanding and the most confident jumpers are always worth sticking with there. Trainers Olly Murphy, Dan Skelton and Fergal O’Brien have all tasted victory at Uttoxeter at least 30 times over the past five seasons.
