Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 27/08

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Tuesday’s race card line-up features events at Lingfield, Musselburgh, Ripon, Stratford and Bellewstown across the UK and Ireland, giving us plenty of potentially profitable avenues to explore.

With wet weather expected in many areas across the British Isles, it will be worth keeping a close eye on the forecast today, however. Nevertheless, we’ve presented our latest horse racing betting tips for Tuesday’s action below.

Best Tip #1:  Royal Eagle – Bellewstown, 19:45

Royal Eagle gets the nod in the last race of the day at Bellewstown ahead of some interesting competitors. Gordon Elliott’s charge finished in third spot over hurdles at the Galway festival last month and put in another decent shift to land third again when last seen at Tramore.

A previous flat winner at Ballinrobe (June), the 6-year-old could have what it takes to shine in the same sphere today.

Baltic Bird is a dual-purpose performer and though he failed to reach his usual standards at Galway last time out (12th), there was solid form to look back on before that including a more than useful run to second in the Connacht Hotel Handicap at Galway over a similar trip and with today’s jockey (Mr J C Barry) in tow.

A repeat display of that could make him a player here and his attractive prices on the best betting sites for horse racing also add to the incentive.

Best Tip #2: Kinetic – Musselburgh, 17:10

Kinetic enjoyed a cosy win at Wolverhampton seven days ago over 1m 4f to maintain her upward trajectory since moving to James Owen’s stable.

Another impressive triumph at Windsor preceded that success and the hattrick chaser could be tough to stop again today with the 6lb penalty she’s incurred unlikely to slow her down too much.

Freddy Robinson is another runner with good credentials. A record of 4-3-1-2-2 from his last five efforts is a decent return and his last outing produced a second-placed finish at Musselburgh over the same distance as today’s test.

Running off an unchanged mark on his return, the 5-year-old has what it takes to mount another bold bid.

Best Roughie: Nastasiya – Stratford, 16:22

A chance is taken on Nastasiya in the Visit racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle at Stratford today. Priced at eye-catching odds on betting apps in the UK and beyond, Miss Lucinda V Russell’s talented 6-year-old finished 3-3-2-3-6 in her last six races and is comfortable over this kind of distance.

Though she is yet to score for the first time, her each-way prospects look handy here.

Emanate meanwhile, has been knocking on the door of late and could be open to progression.

Runs to fourth, third and second again in his last three tests points to a steady improvement and though he is back up to a career-high mark today, he could be one to follow closely over the longer trip at Stratford.

Stats and Insights

  • There are sharp turns at either end of the track at Bellewstown, while fast conditions are also common there. Trainers Gavin Cromwell and Gordon Elliott have both won ten or more races at Bellewstown over the last five jumps seasons at the track.
  • The track at Musselburgh is nicely level, though there are tight bends to conquer, which can make it a slow run for galloping types. Jim Goldie, Keith Dalgleish, Iain Jardine, KR Burke and Tim Easterby are the names to watch out for at Musselburgh.
  • Stratford is on the tight side and the turns arrive quickly there making the setting better suited to more agile types. Jockeys Harry Skelton, Brian Hughes, Gavin Sheehan, Sam Twinston-Davis and Kielan Woods all know what it takes to win at Stratford.
