Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 25/08

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s race card features meetings at Beverley, Goodwood, Yarmouth and Naas across the UK and Ireland, offering us a chance to cap the weekend with some more profit. Yesterday, we landed another winner when Henri Matisse did the business at The Curragh. Keep reading to view our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Lincoln Rockstar – Beverley, 16:25

Lincoln Rockstar has been admirably consistent this summer and notched her fourth win of the campaign in a handicap at Musselburgh a little over two weeks ago.

Also a winner at Beverley over 1m 4f in June, the 4-year-old knows what it takes to win at this track and though she has been nudged up 1lb in the ratings today, she’s taken to maintain her excellent form.

Jedd O’Keeffe has been enjoying a good wedge of backing on the best horse racing betting sites, meanwhile.

He last scored at Doncaster back in May, though he has been shaping up well since and fresh from landing in second spot at Ripon a fortnight ago over 1m 4f, he should be well positioned to launch another bold bid over the same trip.

Best Tip #2: Nighteyes – Naas, 15:07

David O’Meara’s Nighteyes has been moving steadily up the ranks in Britain and beat off competition from six of today’s rivals when winning a tough Listed test over C&D last month.

With three wins from her last four races overall, including a triumph at Naas, the 3-year-old’s form can’t be knocked and she is likely to be right in the mix again with Colin Keane in the saddle.

Paddy Twomey’s Firebird looks like another player with major credentials. She is unbeaten after two starts for her new yard and while those races weren’t the stiffest in terms of challenge, she’s got to be in contention again here.

Over The Blues is another name with previous success at this track and should be shortlisted.

Best Roughie: Blue Prince – Goodwood, 15:35

Blue Prince looked in excellent fettle when beating all to win a competitive 7f race at Glorious Goodwood on July 31st adding to his lengthening list of wins over 6f in the process.

The talented 3-year-old colt moves up in grade today but still has more in his locker to unleash and with the experience of Rossa Ryan on board, he could launch a good assault today off a big price.

Similarly, Witness Stand arrives at Goodwood having won at the track as recently as August 3rd. He defied odds of 40/1 to win that race by three lengths and though he has climbed 8lb after his success, he retains plenty of interest here.

Qirat, who won ahead of Blue Prince at Goodwood in May, is the short-price favourite on sports betting apps and should set the standard.

Stats and Insights

  • There is a considerable draw bias at Beverley towards lower drawn numbers and it can be tricky to make up ground from wider positions. Trainers Tim Easterby, Richard Fahey, Michael & David Easterby, David O’Meara and Mark Johnson are the names to watch closely at Beverley.
  • The circuit at Naas is a galloping track in nature and the taxing uphill finish in Kildare is a test of a horse’s stamina. Jockeys Colin Keane, Chis Hayes, Shane Foley and Wayne Lordan all have good records at Naas. All four are in action at today’s meeting.
  • Goodwood is among the more unique settings on the UK racing circuit and horses with previous experience at the track can often be the ones to try. Trainers Andrew Balding, William Haggas and Richard Hannon all know what it takes to breed winners for Goodwood.
