Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 25/03

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Monday marks the start of a brand-new racing week and with meetings at Exeter, Huntington and Newcastle to pick through, there are possibilities galore ahead of another jam-packed set of race cards. Yesterday, our three selections delivered a placed horse and a massive winner tipped at 9/1 thanks to Redbridge Rambler’s effort at Ascot. We’re targeting more success today and you can check out our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1: Time to Bite – Exeter, 2.20

Time To Bite made it two wins from four when he romped home unchallenged to win at Plumpton last month and despite moving in up trip at Exeter today, he is taken to maintain his fine form.

The son of Scorpion, who is up 10lb after last time, is a powerful finisher and should take some stopping in the day’s first race. Class 5 races seem to suit and the 9-year-old is worth your time.

Elsewhere, Birdman Bob has been gathering attention on other online horse racing betting outlets.

The 7-year-old has been doing all of his racing at Plumpton of late where he has posted a series of second-placed efforts, though the change of scenery could do him good here. The switch to fences will be interesting as will the addition of cheekpieces.

Best Tip #2:  Tap N Go Leo – Huntingdon, 3.05

Tap N Go Leo has really looked the part over the winter and he scored at Catterick in style last month for a first win of 2024 in a Class 4 Maiden Hurdle race over 3m 1f.

In line to make his handicap bow today, the five-year-old runs off a lenient-looking mark of 121 and though he needs some extra pep to make good, he is worth backing to maintain his progression at Huntingdon.

The biggest danger comes in the form of Illico De Cotte. The 6-year-old arrives on the back of a victory at Hereford and showed more ability despite pulling up in a Class 1 event at Cheltenham before Christmas.

For Gina could appeal to those angling for a bigger price. She had two wins at Fakenham last year and could upset the odds if that form is recaptured.

Best Roughie: Stallone – Newcastle, 7:30

This race at Newcastle has an open look, which could unlock possibilities at bigger prices in the shape of Stallone. The 8-year-old went head-to-head with Madame Fennella at Southwell on March 14th and the pair were separated by only a head at the post.

Stallone, however, has a previous win at Newcastle to look back on in January and he is favoured in the rematch for that reason.

Alongside, Madame Fennella, another challenge could be issued by favourite Mehmo, though the 6-year-old might be best avoided after an uninspiring bit of form since February.

Beneficiary, who has been earning interest on the best betting apps UK, has three wins already this year and should be shortlisted with the others.

Stats and Insights

  • Exeter is a large circuit with plenty of undulations and conditions there can be demanding, especially in wintertime. Trainer Paul Nicolls has been prolific at Exeter this season, posting wins in 39% of his entries at the track this term.
  • Huntingdon can often favour the speedier types due to the flat, wide nature of the course. There are also sweeping bends for the racier types to enjoy. At Huntingdon, trainer Ben Pauling has been the dominant force, landing eight wins from 19 races there.
  • Newcastle is the UK’s only all-weather track and with the setting generally fair, gallopers and late surgers can make an impact. Trainer Kevin Ryan has a 35% strike rate at Newcastle this season while jockey Paul Mulrennan, who has 16 wins in the north east this term, is also worth looking out for.
