Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 25/02

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s race card line-up features a double-header from the UK and Ireland, with events scheduled to run at Hereford and Naas. Yesterday, our winning streak was prolonged when our tip Kalif Du Berlais won at Kempton and today, we’ve picked out three more horses with the potential to deliver some profit again. Keep reading to view our top horse racing betting tips for today.

Best Tip #1: Tounsivator – Naas 1.55

The 1.55 at Naas is littered with runners with potential, though we recommend siding with Tounsivator who is coming across from France to compete. The 5-year-old has been successful over 1m 3f and 1m 4f furlong before, so the trip should suit at Naas.

Tounsivator makes his debut for Willie Mullins’ stable today and deserves to be respected. It would be no surprise to see him get off the mark at the first time of asking.

Elsewhere, Shoot The Blues has been earning interest on some of the other best horse racing betting sites and there was plenty to like about his debut when he edged out the favourite in a Limerick bumper in October 2022.

He returned with relish last month to finish second at Fairyhouse and should be a contender over a slightly shorter distance today.

Best Tip #2:  Mighty Moth – Hereford 3.10

Mighty Moth finished in a disappointing 5th place at Newbury on her last outing, though that was a Class 1 Novice Listed Hurdle race and she drops way back down the grades at Hereford today and that could make the difference.

The Class 4 competition should enhance her claims considerably, and she showed potential to place three times in grades above before coming up short at Newbury. Definitely one to watch.

Point-to-point winner Largy Force should also be among the front runners. She made a splash in a Catterick bumper in December and finished second on her debut there.

With that experience to draw from, she could push hard today. Lady Pretender could be a useful import from France and could make an instant impact out of the excellent Venetia Williams’ yard.

Best Roughie: Big Island – 3.25 Naas

Big Island is a former handicap hurdle winner and has been a reliable performer so far this season without quite getting over the line yet. The 7-year-old caught the eye at Thurles in December to finish second over 2m and landed another runners-up spot at Galway two months before that in a 15-strong field.

The trip and soft to heavy ground at Naas could be ideal today and gelding Big Island could finally break his duck.

Whacker Clan meanwhile, arrives on the back of two successes in chases and deserves to be noted back on the jumps. Stablemate Champagne Mahler could also move into the crosshairs, though an 11lb rise since his romp home at Gowran Park last month is a significant increase.

Lazer Wolf. who ran to second at Fairyhouse on February 7th, has been making noise on betting apps and could do enough to get into the frame.

Stats and Insights

  • Naas features a left-handed circuit of approximately a mile and a half. It’s a galloping track in nature and it finishes with a sharp enough uphill surge for four furlongs. Naturally, the calls for plenty of stamina, so look out for the horses with plenty of staying power.
  • The track at Hereford ties up with a snappy downhill sprint so we like our runners to be involved in the thick of the action right from the get-go or they might be left behind. The right-handed circuit at Hereford is square shaped and it can seem like horses are constantly navigating turns.
