Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 24/09

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Tuesday’s race card line up features meetings across the UK and Ireland Beverley, Fontwell, Newcastle, Warwick, Listowel giving us plenty of room to identify some profit. To that end, we’ve listed our top horse racing betting tips for today’s action, including an 9/1 longshot at Fontwell.

Best Tip #1:  Monasterboice – Listowel, 16:55

Monasterboice was in the midst of a three-race winning streak before his surge was halted at Galway two weeks ago, though the talented charge was beaten by only half a length on that occasion.

The 3-year-old, who carries the highest mark in today’s test at Listowel, has Colin Keane in the saddle and can overcome a wide draw to bounce back to winning ways.

Henry De Bromhead’s Narmar is another contender of interest, meanwhile. The 4-year-old was a maiden winner over C&D last year, but hasn’t had much fortune recently and some disappointing results have driven his mark down to an intriguing level for today’s race.

With better luck, Narmar could be a worthwhile prospect on horse racing betting sites.

Best Tip #2: Dynamite Kentucky – Warwick, 16:40

Dynamite Kentucky could be the answer in what is shaping up to be a competitive sixth race at Warwick. A winner at Worcester when last seen, the 9-year-old was probably more impressive than than the final modest winning margin suggested.

Not fussed by rain or the 5lb rise he has incurred; Dynamite Kentucky could be gearing up for another bold bid here.

Elsewhere, Chatty Chich could be right in the mix for Dan Skelton. Back-to-back wins at Huntingdon and Fakenham in the summer were followed by a regression to third at Worcester in early July, however, he was far from disgraced on that outing and on that seasonal form, he deserves to be factored into calculations today.

Best Roughie: Danzini – Fontwell, 15:40

Danzini is priced way down the reckoning on betting apps ahead of today’s Handicap Hurdle race at Fontwell, though she managed to win on her last visit to this venue in a similar event in May and if that performance can be reimagined, she could be a worthwhile venture.

Her win here four months ago came off a 4lb lower mark, however, a slight rise since shouldn’t take much away from her chances.

Lady Harriett meanwhile, has been the subject of attention in the ante-post shuffle. She delivered a career-best effort to finish second at Cartmel last time out and using that as a platform, the 5-year-old could make further progress today.

Gone In Sixty, who has been knocking at the door since the start of the summer, looks built for this 3m 1f trip and could be another name to shortlist.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Listowel provides a flat, fair setting, giving most horse types a decent shot at success in Kerry. JP O’Brien, Aiden O’Brien, Mrs John Harrington, DK Weld and Adrian McGuinness are generally the trainers to watch out for during flat sessions at Listowel.
  • Warwick is a left-handed run with tight corners and a short run-in after the final flight, so agile types can have the edge there. Look out for trainers Dan Skelton, Nicky Henderson, Jonjo O’Neill, Alan King and Fergal O’Brien at Warwick.
  • The hurdle circuit at Fontwell is a left-handed oval of approximately a mile around. Trainer Gary Moore has won more jump races at Fontwell over the last five seasons than anyone else (61), with Anthony Honeyball the next best performer with 35 wins over the same period.
