Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 24/03

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s action-packed race card selection features meetings at Ascot, Doncaster, Limerick, Naas across the UK and Ireland, which should hopefully give us plenty of scope for success and profit again. Yesterday, our three picks returned a winner (Montgomery) and a placed runner at a big price (Musicka), so let’s hope for more of the same today. Check out our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1: Dubai Crystal – Doncaster, 1.20

Dubai Crystal earns preference today in what should be a competitive first race at Doncaster.

The 4-year-old will have her first outing for new trainer George Boughey, and the daughter of Fastnet Rock could enjoy the stiffer test of her stamina over 1m 3f. Dubai Crystal also drops down in grade today which could aid her chances further.

Two Brothers is also shaping up as another possible candidate on other betting sites for horse racing. The 6-year-old scored three times last term and finished up with a solid win at York in September. A career-high mark could be a factor today; however, he has the consistency to threaten.

The Bunt meanwhile, finished second at Kempton and Lingfield in January and February respectively, and also has possibilities.

Best Tip #2:  Dancing Jeremy – Limerick, 4.05

A dual hurdles winner previously, Dancing Jeremy caught the eye to win at Thurles on February 22nd and though the 10lb increase he earned from that triumph is a little on the harsh side, he should be right in the thick of things again.

The 9-year-old looked more fluid than usual when jumping last time out and he could maintain his progression here.

Let’s Go Champ, under jockey Rachael Blackmore, is the obvious danger. The point-to-point and maiden hurdle winner hasn’t made an appearance since finishing second at Punchestown in early December, however, a small 3lb increase won’t impact his chances by much and he should factor into your thinking.

The Little Yanks has been an interesting mover in the markets, but will need a massive effort.

Best Roughie: Redbridge Rambler – Ascot, 3.55

Redbridge Rambler is priced down the reckoning in the ante-post markets on sports betting apps, however, we think he has a chance of upsetting the odds to earn a place at least.

The 6-year-old ran well to second spot at Sedgefield last month in a Class 4 Hurdle event and showed enough promise on that occasion to suggest he could be in the mix of a similar trip today.

Nickelforce meanwhile, enters off a record of 2-4-1, with a win at Plumpton at the end of January his most recent effort. He moves up a grade today, however, he has potential to untap over a longer distance.

Percolator has a recent win at Wetherby to look back on and might be worth shortlisting having moved up a grade.

Stats and Insights

  • With gentle undulations and a fair setting overall, Doncaster is a track for the gallopers, so look out for horses with lengthy strides and powerful gears. Jockey Rhys Clutterbuck and trainer Dominic Ffrench Davis have already delivered the goods off some big starting prices at the track this season.
  • There is a steep back straight at Limerick before things switch into a decline around the final bend, so we would like our tips to be in the mix near the front before the finish. Trainer WP Mullins has been dominating at Limerick this season, hitting a 52%-win rate from his entries at the track this season so far.
  • Ascot is a conventual, flat circuit, though the short straight there can make life difficult for horses that have been held up. Trainers Harry Fry and Venetia Williams have had decent success at Ascot so far this season, while Jockey Ben Jones has a 60% strike rate there.
