Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 23/07

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Tuesday’s race card contains a quartet of meetings across the UK and Ireland at Lingfield, Musselburgh, Wolverhampton and Ballinrobe, which should give us ample opportunity to land some more profit. Yesterday, we had another successful outing thanks to Eternal Sunshine, who won at Ayr and Lahina Bay, who placed off a big starting price at Windsor. View our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Delta Legend – Lingfield, 16:30

Miss Gay Kelleway’s Delta Legend has ample course experience at Lingfield having raced there three times in his last four outings, so expect him to thereabouts on his return.

The 4-year-old has won over 1m at the circuit in January and June already this year, with the latter produced on his debut for a new stable. With an attractive price to work with on the best horse racing betting sites, Delta Legend gets the nod here.

Elsewhere, King Of Scotia could be another name to weigh up. He seems to have turned a corner since breaking his duck at Brighton in June and his run to second spot at Lingfield over C&D just two weeks ago could provide the platform he needs to kick on at the same venue here.

Best Tip #2: Giorgio M – Musselburgh, 17:25

With a record of 4-1-2-5-1 from his last five races, Giorgio M takes strong form into today’s Lucas Ice Cream Handicap at Musselburgh.

Among the 3-year-old’s two victories since April was a win over 5f in a Class 5 Handicap at Musselburgh and though he has incurred a 6lb penalty since his triumph at Wolverhampton eight days ago, Giorgio M is worth sticking with here.

Rapido Girl could be an alternative contender with a meatier price. She went very close at Catterick three races ago before following up with a win at the same track shortly after.

Her fifth-place finish at Doncaster last time out belied a good performance on her handicap debut in what was a blanket finish, and Craig Lidster’s charge is worth tracking on that evidence.

Best Roughie: Qassid – Ballinrobe, 17:20

Qassid showed his quality again when winning a fifth flat race on July 5th in a Class 4 event at Doncaster and a repeat effort over hurdles could put him in the frame again here.

The 6-year-old has won twice in his last three starts overall, with both victories earned over a trip of 1m 2f. Qassid moves up in distance today, though JJ Hanlon’s charge looks well-positioned to push on.

Fatal Flaw meanwhile, has been a popular choice on the best betting apps in the UK elsewhere. Jonathan Sweeney’s progressive sort won ahead of 19 others when last seen at Punchestown in early June and transferring to hurdles shouldn’t be an issue.

Gordon Elliott’s dual bumper winner Arabian Diamond also has strong credentials on his first race of the year.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Lingfield is a triangular-shaped course with tight bends, and the nature of the setting tends to suit speedier horses. Trainers Richard Hannon, William Haggas, Ralph Beckett, Tony Caroll and Gary Moore are the names to look out for at Lingfield.
  • Musselburgh is another circuit for pacier types due to the tight turns at both ends of the course. Trainers Keith Dalgleish, Jim Goldie, Iain Jardine, KR Burke and Tim Easterby are all worth looking out for on race day at Musselburgh.
  • With an uphill back straight and a downhill finish to surge down shortly after, horses with extra zip can be the ones to back at Ballinrobe. Big-hitting trainers Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins have both enjoyed plenty of success at Ballinrobe over the last five seasons.
