Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 23/03

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Saturday’s race card line-up is packed solid with potential and there are five meetings to digest at Bangor-On-Dee, Doncaster, Newbury, Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Navan. Yesterday, our three selections returned a placed effort (The Newest One, Newbury) and a winner (Run Boy Run, Newcastle), so let’s try to maintain our momentum here. Below, you can find our latest horse racing betting tips ahead of the action.

Best Tip #1: Mystical Elegance – Doncaster, 1.50

The Novice Stakes at Doncaster throws up some interesting prospects today, with Mystical Elegance possibly the pick of the bunch.

While the markets should dictate your thinking in this race a little closer to go-time, Mystical Elegance is a half-sister to five winners and is part-owned by AMO Racing, who have a habit of producing excellent 2-year-olds. Definitely one to watch.

Dukes of Haather meanwhile, might also be worth a market check on horse racing betting sites. The Colt is the most expensive purchase on display today and is closely related to a 7f AW winner in Wizarding.

Roysdelight is another to consider under experienced jockey Rossa Ryan in what could develop into an open contest at Doncaster.

Best Tip #2:  Montgomery – Bangor-On-Dee, 2.30

Montgomery has looked the part over fences since his move to Venetia Williams’ stables and he can score for the third time on the spin ahead of the rest at Bangor-On-Dee.

The seven-year-old won by a whopping 17l at Leicester a couple of weeks back and impressed to win at Bangor-On-Dee shortly before that. There is a 9lb increase to handle, however, he is top of his game and should be thereabouts.

Elsewhere, Ballycamus could also be in the mix. He’s 2-4 since he switched over to fences in the autumn and both of his victories came in Class 3 events (Chepstow, Newbury).

He moves back up in trip today, however, he’s likely to provide a challenge. Dragon Rock, who won at Fairyhouse over 3m in November, should also enter calculations.

Best Roughie: Muscika – Wolverhampton, 6.15

Muscika is priced down the pack at Wolverhampton today, however, he finished a close second to favourite Laheg at Linfield just a month ago over 6f and he could launch a challenge again against the same opponent today.

The 16-time winner, who has posted three victories at Wolverhampton before, has plenty going for him and with odds in our favour, he looks like a plum pick up, especially at each way.

The aforementioned Laheg, who is up just 2lb following last month’s win at Lingfield, is likely to be the punters’ choice on betting apps in the UK, while Ice Cold Harry could also be dangerous.

The 4-year-old, who is lightly raced, caught the eye when winning at Wolverhampton last month and if he’s in the same shape today, could take some stopping.
