Tuesday’s racing card features an exciting lineup in the UK with three jumps and one flat race to enjoy at Down Royal, Newbury, Leicester and Southwell. We pride ourselves on being one of the best betting sites for horse racing, and as per the usual routine, we’ve compiled a set of expert horse racing tips for your punting pleasure ahead of the day’s action.
Best Tip #1: King’s Threshold – Newbury 2.35
King’s Threshold showed promise and finished second on his chase debut at Kempton back in November and with that to build on, he could go on again here. A 3lb increase following that run should be comfortable to bear and King’s Threshold gets the nod ahead of rivals Island Run and Gazette Bourgeoise in the 2.35.
Another threat comes in the form of Blairgowrie, though rustiness is expected there following a 662-day absence. King’s Threshold ran well on good to soft ground and was a clear second when he switched to fences at Kempton a few months back and should be respected. King’s Threshold will have travelled just 19 miles to get to Newbury today, so he should be fresh and ready to push.

Best Tip #2: Mylesfromwicklow – Leicester 3.20
Mylesfromwicklow landed in either first or second place in each of his last five runs, though his stylish jumping performance to win on his chasing debut at Huntingdon was his most noteworthy effort. Sailing wasn’t quite as smooth for Mylesfromwicklow when he finished second at Leicester in December, though a close second was still achieved despite a couple of mistimed springs.
Everything’sontick has winning form over these fences and has already been respected by punters on sports betting apps, while an eye should also be kept on Tiger Orchid and O’Connell. Mylesfromwicklow, who has been first and second over fences in his last two jumps, lost by just half a length to The Edgar Wallace in his most recent chase, so he should enjoy the extra couple of furlongs offered by the Leicester track.

Best Roughie: Molly Mischief – Southwell 8.30
Molly Mischief has placed once in four starts and is priced accordingly, however, she finished second when opposing Smokey Malone at Southwell earlier in January from a 33/1 starting price and the major improver could offer a threat again from a deep position in the market. Molly Mischief will be 1lb better off under Jennie Candlish and has plenty of merit with a form reversal possible.
Recent C&D winter King Viktor should also be on your watchlist while Desert Quest is another form horse worth noting, however, Molly Mischief looked at home at Southwell on her handicap debut on January 11th and there is potential to unlock at the same course in what should be a competitive final race.

Stats and Insights
- Richard Hannon and Frankie Dettori have been the most dominant jockeys at Newbury across the last five seasons. Both the Flat and National Hunt courses are left-handed, though the former also features a straight mile run. Look for strong gallopers to succeed here.
- Leicester, which is a popular site on UK best betting sites, is a right-handed oval run that requires a good dollop of stamina to succeed. With the ground often testing, the fences can be tricky to crest, so the best jumpers are usually worth watching here.
- Southwell is another left-handed oval track that runs for approximately a mile. With a largely flat, narrow run, sprinters can often be favoured, especially on firmer ground in the summer. Trainer Dan Skelton has enjoyed plenty of success at Southwell over the last five seasons, so keep an eye on his runners there.
