Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 22/11

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Friday’s race card is a busy edition and with meetings to dissect across the UK and Ireland at Ascot, Catterick, Chepstow, Newcastle, Dundalk and Tipperary, the potential to seek out more profit is there again. Ahead of the action at the track, we’ve compiled another selection of expert betting tips for your perusal. Check them out below.

Best Tip #1: Duke Of Luckley – Catterick, 13:50

Martin Keighley’s Duke Of Luckley is a three-time chase winner and delivered his latest win in this sphere in late October with a solid win over 2m at Southwell in a Class 4 event.

The 7-year-old has been nudged up 6lb ahead of today’s run at Catterick, though he was a comfortable winner in similar company last time and should be ready to set a high standard again today.

Elsewhere, Dream Jet looks poised to make a positive impact for Brian Ellison’s stable and is available to back at an attractive price on the best betting sites for horse racing.

He secured his second chase triumph 14 days ago when beating all to claim the spoils at Hexham in a Class 4 burst over 2m and though he takes a 4lb penalty into today’s stiffer challenge, the 6-year-old will expect to be in the shake up again.

Best Tip #2: Mirazur West – Tipperary, 15:07

Willie Mullins’ brings two top contenders into battle in the penultimate race at Tipperary today, though the 6-year-old gets the nod over stablemate Westport Cove on this occasion.

Mirazur West was a confident hurdler and won twice at Fairyhouse in that niche early in the year. He also finished in a respectable fourth in a Grade 1 Champions Novice hurdle at Punchestown, so should have the class to be a force chasing.

Alongside the threat offered by Westport Cove, JJ Murphy’s Black Bamboo also deserves to be factored into calculations.

The 131-rated hurdler finished second in a stiff race at Killarney when last seen in July and is the brother of a strong chaser (Magnor Glory). Expect this interesting 7-year-old to play a part in what should be a fascinating race in Tipperary.

Best Roughie: Morfee – Ascot, 15:15

Morfee pulled up on his return to action at Exeter last month, but he was a similarly slow starter last year before rebounding with some top form for JW Mullins.

Morfee signed off last season with a record of 2-1-2-1 in Class 4 Chase Handicap events and has what it takes to put in a top shift in a similar race today. His big price on betting apps makes him even more appealing.

Law Of Supply meanwhile, is a former point winner who looked the part on his chase debut at Worcester last month, winning the race ahead of 13 rivals on that occasion.

The 6-year-old steps up in grade today with a 10lb increase, though he is still largely unexposed and could be another name to follow with interest.

Stats and Insights

  • Catterick often rewards previous winners, so look out for horses who’ve already tasted success at the track when weighing up your options. Trainers Donald McCain, Sue Smith and Micky Hammond have all recorded double-figure wins over the last few seasons at Catterick.
  • The jumps track at Tipperary is a sharp, left-handed run and unsurprisingly, the top Irish trainers like Willie Mullins, Henry De Bromhead, Gordon Elliott and Gavin Cromwell have been dominant there in jumps races in recent campaigns.
  • Previous course form over this conventional flat setting is always a decent indicator of future success at Ascot.  Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson, Dan Skelton, Venetia Williams and Gary Moore are the trainers to look out for here.
