Willie Mullins’ brings two top contenders into battle in the penultimate race at Tipperary today, though the 6-year-old gets the nod over stablemate Westport Cove on this occasion.
Mirazur West was a confident hurdler and won twice at Fairyhouse in that niche early in the year. He also finished in a respectable fourth in a Grade 1 Champions Novice hurdle at Punchestown, so should have the class to be a force chasing.
Alongside the threat offered by Westport Cove, JJ Murphy’s Black Bamboo also deserves to be factored into calculations.

Best Roughie: Morfee – Ascot, 15:15
Morfee pulled up on his return to action at Exeter last month, but he was a similarly slow starter last year before rebounding with some top form for JW Mullins.
