Billytherealbigred landed his second win in as many starts when roaring home to victory over 2m at Warwick on March 10th and he looks a cut above the competition again today and a hattrick could be in the offing.
A 4lb increase has been applied, however, he looks capable of progressing further and he is taken to deliver here, albeit at a short price.
Martin Spirit is expected to provide competition. He had no wins from 23 starts over hurdles, however, wind surgery seems to have made a significant difference and he won by a huge 12l at Plumpton earlier this month on his first post-op outing.
He is back up in trip today, however, that shouldn’t be too impactful and he deserves plenty of respect.

Best Roughie: Arlecchino’s Gift – Southwell 8.00
Arlecchino’s Gift scored at Wolverhampton on March 11th ahead of 11 competitors over 6f and having escaped a penalty following his success in that apprentice handicap, the 5-year-old could take some stopping again at Southwell.
The short turnaround between races might be a factor, however, his record of 33221 shows steady progression and we’re tipping him to maintain his trajectory off the same mark here.
American Rose could also come into contention having finished second at Wolverhampton last month over 7f and sports betting apps have seen movement in her direction.
A sprinting type, the 4-year-old could relish the slight step down in trip at Southwell while a 2lb increase is unlikely to hold her back. Toptime meanwhile, races at Southwell for the fifth time in a row today and his 3212 record at the circuit means he’s worth shortlisting.
