Punters have meetings across the UK and Ireland at Carlisle, Fakenham, Lingfield, Southwell and Limerick on Tuesday’s race card, which should open up numerous profitable avenues to explore.
Yesterday, we landed another winner for our readers when we successfully tipped Magical Arthur to win at Plumpton. Let’s hope for more of the same in our latest horse racing betting tips below.
Best Tip #1: Con Te Partiro – Lingfield, 13:10
Con Te Partiro has been hitting plenty of high notes in 2024 and the big improver won for the fifth time in eight starts when he beat all to win at Lingfield over C&D in September.
The 3-year-old has a record of 1-2-1 from his last three outings at this track overall and though he moves up in grade and in weight today (+5lb), he is favoured to maintain his upward trajectory.
Roger Varian’s Warren Hill has been leading the charge on horse racing betting sites meanwhile, and should also be in the mix.
A winner at Windsor in July over a trip of 1m 2f, Warren Hill has been competing against Class 4 company all year and should find the standard of today’s race familiar. The booking of James Doyle for the saddle could also be significant.

Best Tip #2: Boomslang – Carlisle, 12:30
Boomslang has looked the part since moving from the hurdling sphere into the chasing arena and the 7-year-old followed up a fine win at Downpatrick on Oct 11th with a solid run to a clear second at Newcastle later the same month.
Rebecca Menzies’s charge will compete off a career-high mark today, though he should be at ease over this 3m trip and deserves to be factored into calculations.
Lucinda Russell’s Lady In The Park meanwhile, is the early favourite and could be poised to launch a bold bid.
The former Irish pointer winner was last victorious at Wetherby on December 26th last year and though she has failed to score since, there have been performances at note, particularly in Ayr (2nd & 2nd). Expect her to feature in the shake up here.

Best Roughie: Sense Of Worth – Southwell, 17:30
Sense Of Worth is a former two-time winner at Dundalk who has also tasted victory at Southwell before, so it’s something of a surprise to see the 8-year-old listed as such a meaty price in the ante-post markets on the best betting apps in the UK.
He looked a little off the pace at Newcastle when last seen in May, though that display is easy to dismiss and with jockey Alex Jary adding a 5lb claimer today, Sense Of Worth could provide a solid each-way opportunity.
At the other end of the market, Andrew Balding’s Hebridean Nomad has been enjoying the spotlight. He hasn’t been in action since September 2023, though he claimed the spoils ahead of a subsequent four-time winner on that occasion.
He returns to the track with a favourable mark today and the reliable stayer could mark his comeback in style.

Stats and Insights
- The AW track at Lingfield features several tight bends, though the Polytrack surface is reliably flat and true and well-balanced horses can excel there. Trainers Andrew Balding, Tony Carroll, Archie Watson, Richard Hannon and Gary Moore all have good records at Lingfield.
- The track at Carlisle is one of the more unorthodox courses in the UK and the one and half mile run can be best described as pear-shaped. Donald McCain and Nicky Richards have been setting the standard among trainers at Carlisle in recent seasons.
- The Fibresand surface at Southwell has plenty of depth underfoot and extra stamina can come in very handy there. Michael Appleby has been the most successful trainer on AW at Southwell over the last five campaigns.
