There are four meetings to sink our teeth into across the UK and Ireland on Sunday at Newmarket, Ripon, Stratford and Naas, giving us plenty of scope to identify some potential winners. Yesterday, all three of our selections placed which would have returned some tidy profit for each-way bettors. Below, you can find our latest expert horse racing betting tips for the day’s action.
Best Tip #1: Mahboob – Newmarket, 16:45
The Gosdens’ Mahboob showed real promise to win on his novice debut at Lingfield in December and the 4-year-old shone just as brightly when he returned to action after a break to win again at the same track in April.
A hattrick could well be on the cards for the unexposed son of Sea of Stars on what will be his handicap debut on turf. A mark of 91 is workable and he is taken to deliver again.
Daysofourlives meanwhile, is another entry with credentials and deserves a market check on the best betting sites.
A former winner at Ascot and Chelmsford, he has track experience at Newmarket and finished third there when last seen in a Class 2 Handicap race over 1m last month. The drop down in grade could do him some good today.

Best Tip #2: Yosemite Valley – Naas, 15:20
All things going to form, Yosemite Valley should be there to set the standard in the fourth race of the day at Naas. The talented 4-year-old has looked in top shape since returning from a winter hiatus and his win in the Gladness Stakes at The Curragh on April 21st was achieved in good style.
He has finished 2-1-2-2-1 in his last five outings and should take some beating here.
Tara meanwhile, could be another major challenger on her return. Dermot Weld’s filly was in the frame in five high-calibre contests last year and though she hasn’t won since a Leopardstown maiden win a while back, her performance at the 1,000 Guineas (4th) hinted at promise to come.
Special Wan is another lightly raced filly who could be open to progression.

Best Roughie: Latin Five – Ripon, 13:45
Latin Five’s form has been solid since the turn of the year and a record of 5-1-4-2 in his last five races could set him up for a strong push in what looks like an open first race at Ripon.
The 7-year-old seems to fly faster when challenged and Latin Five came up trumps last year over C&D in a pacey event. Running off a good weight today, Paul Midgley’s gelding looks well placed to offer something today.
Object has been handed a kind draw and could work that to his favour. Despite being 5lb up in the rankings, he showed enough in his last two races to suggest he can make further strides soon and could be worth a look on betting apps.
Object won over 5f furlongs at Catterick on April 24th before finishing 4th at the same track shortly after, and if previous form can be recaptured, he should be an each-way player.

Stats and Insights
- Newmarket is the UK’s mecca of flat racing and the track’s world-renowned Rowley Mile is a spacious run which features a notorious dip before the final sprint to the post. Trainer Charlie Appleby has won with a remarkable 96 of his 322 entries at the track over the last half a decade and he won more races here yesterday.
- Naas is generally considered a track for the galloping types and there is a stiff uphill finish to conquer there that asks questions of a horse’s stamina. Jockey Colin Keane, who has six rides today, has enjoyed 43 wins from 283 runs at Naas over the last five years.
- Higher draws are preferred over five and six furlong races at Ripon, however, when conditions are soft, that draw bias tends to evaporate. Trainer Tim Easterby has been the dominant force at Ripon over the last 5 years, winning 68 times from a whopping 481 races there over that period.
