Tuesday’s race card line-up features a quartet of potentially profitable events across the UK and Ireland at Beverley, Kempton, Nottingham and Killarney, and as per the usual routine, we’ve made it our mission to bring you the best horse racing betting tips for the day’s action.
Yesterday, we landed two more winners thanks to Rauzan’s win at Downpatrick and Independent Expert’s thrilling triumph at Killarney. We tipped Independent Expert at a massive price of 10/1, so let’s hope for more of the same below.
Best Tip #1: Taipan – Killarney, 19:45
Taipan has been waiting patiently for his first run of the new year having missed two chances already due to unfavourable conditions, however, the 6-year-old could shine at the first time of asking today. T
aipan enjoyed a superb year in 2023 and had a record of 2-2-1-1-2 before signing off after the summer. Jockey Keithen Kennedy brings a 7lb claimer to the table today and Mrs J Harrington’s charge could be a serious player as a result.
Gordon Elliott’s Samui meanwhile, has been a favourite among punters in the early market movement on horse racing betting sites in the UK.
The reliable hurdler justified his backing to win at Down Royal at the end of May and looked the part again to finish second at Bellewstown a few days later. Today’s longer trip could suit and he promises to be thereabouts.

Best Tip #2: Wannabe Brave – Kempton, 20:30
Wannabe Brave was a winner in his first three handicaps of the new season on AW and though his streak ended with a third-place finish at Kempton when last seen on June 12th, an improved performance on his return to the track could be on the cards.
With a tongue-tie factored in, the breathing issues that held him back last time could be fixed and the 5-year-old is taken to deliver off an attractive price.
Grand Duchess Olga could be another name for shortlists at meaty odds. She emerged to win well at Kempton on her last outing on June 26th and though there is a 3lb rise to consider today, she has more potential to release over C&D.
Surrey Belle is the short-price favourite, though she will have to find more after some uninspiring showings. The booking of Oisin Murphy could be significant, however.

Best Roughie: Sassy Soprano – Beverley, 16:00
Sassy Soprano has fallen on the wrong side of fortune a couple of times of late, though there has been definite promise in her efforts and she catches the eye at a bumper price on betting apps in the day’s fourth race at Beverley.
Representing an in-form yard for Mrs A Duffield, the 3-year-old could build on her fourth-placed finish at Thirsk to make a better push over a shorter distance.
In what looks like an open race in the Malcolm Greenslade Doncaster LVA Stalwart Memorial Handicap, Jack Of Clubs could be another horse with credentials.
His run to second at Musselburgh last time out was his best performance of 2024 to date and he could kick on again here. Variety Island could be a contender if he manages his first 5f trip in three years properly.

Stats and Insights
- The triangular-shaped course at Killarney usually suits the more agile horses due to the sharpness of the turns. Jockeys Shane Foley, Colin Keane, WJ Lee and Declan McDonogh know what it takes to do the business at Killarney and all four will be involved in today’s meeting.
- The circuit at Kempton is a flat, fair setting and generally, it’s better to favour horses with speed over stamina. Trainers Andrew Balding, Charlie Appleby, Roger Varian, Richard Hannon and John & Thady Gosden have all enjoyed plenty of success on the All-Weather surface at Kempton over the last five seasons.
- Horses drawn low can enjoy a hefty bias at Beverley as it’s often tricky to make up ground from wider positions. Jockeys Daniel Tudhope, Joe Fanning and Connor Beasley have all posted 20 or more victories at Beverley over the last five campaigns and all three will be in action today.
