Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 15/10

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Tuesday’s race card features meetings at Market Rasen, Yarmouth, Punchestown, Leicester and Newcastle across the UK and Ireland, giving punters plenty of scope to build some bank. Yesterday, two of our three selections placed, though we want to go one better today and to that end, you can find our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Ballysax Hank – Punchestown, 15:50

Ballysax Hank gets the nod in the day’s fourth race of Punchestown ahead of some decent rivals.

The 5-year-old scored at Cork to open his account in August and also caught the eye a month later when finishing second at Listowel in a Maiden Hurdle race over 2m 6f. He drops back in trip today, though that could suit him better and he is taken to be firmly in the mix again.

Elsewhere, the Willie Mullins-trained Mister Pink has enjoyed some decent backing on the best horse racing betting sites.

The 6-year-old hasn’t race in almost a year which points to some stable issues; however, he comes from excellent stock and could perform to a high level on his first outing of the year. He finished 2-1-3 in three races before his hiatus in 2023.

Best Tip #2: Court In The Act – Market Rasen, 15:05

Court In The Act has been lightly raced in 2024 and though he let himself down when he was last seen at Sandown in April, his 9th-place finish on that occasion was in Class 2 company and he drops down two grades today.

A winner of a valuable maiden at Kempton on St. Stephen’s Day, Court In The Act is comfortable at this level and should be ready to set the standard here.

Bannister meanwhile, is a course specialist at Market Rasen and should also be involved.

Each of his last four races have been at this venue and progress has been steady each time culminating in his triumph here over 2m 3f in late September. A 5lb rise since isn’t too much to bear, so expect another bold bid from this progressive 7-year-old.

Best Roughie: Andromedas Kingdom – Leicester, 17:35

Michael Appleby’s Andromedas Kingdom already has three wins under his belt this year and one of those victories was secured at Bath in May over a similar distance to today’s effort.

Another win at Nottingham over the same trip followed shortly after and though the 6-year-old’s form has tailed off since, he has it in him to recapture previous form. If he does, then he could make light of his big price on betting apps.

Swatch is shaping up like another contestant with decent credentials. The 5-year-old, who represents G & J Moore’s stable, was a winner on soft ground at Bath in April and finished in the frame at Beverley (3rd) and Lingfield (2nd) since.

He is turning out for his new owners for the first time today, which clouds the picture, though the right elements remain in place and Swatch could make an impact.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Punchestown is an undulating, right-handed affair and the setting there is considered fair in the main. Trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Paul Townend have been the most dominant forces in their niche at Punchestown over the last five jump seasons.
  • Nipper and more agile horses can have a better time of it at Market Rasen due to the sharpness of the circuit. Trainers Olly Murphy, Dan Skelton, Fergal O’Brien, Micky Hammond and Kim Bailey are the names to look out for at Market Rasen.
  • Stamina is a useful attribute to bring to Leicester due to the undulating nature of the track and the testing conditions. During the flat season, trainers Roger Varian, Ralph Beckett, Clive Cox, Tony Carroll and Michael Appleby tend to hold the most sway.
