Hasthing runs off a mark of 119 today, which looks like an underestimation from our end and the 7-year-old is taken to win for the third time in four races here.
Hasthing didn’t cut the mustard at Newbury (7th) last time out, though he goes back up in trip today for the Class 1 run at Sandown and that should suit. Wins at Catterick and Leicester over 2m 3f and 2m 4f preceded the downturn at Newbury so the potential to turn things around is there.
A longer-price option worth weighing up arrives in the form of Champagne Twist. The former Irish point winner ran clear to win at Doncaster at the end of January, showcasing his deep well of stamina.
Improver Pic Roc, who earned a victory in a Class 2 Novice Hurdle race at Ascot last month, should also make the shortlist. The 6-year-old has already been well found on other betting sites for horse racing.

Best Tip #2: Tumuch – Gowran Park 5.40
The final race at Gowran Park featured a trio of impressive point-to-point winners, with two of them, Tumuch and Port Joulain, recently swapping hands for big money. Tumuch gets the nod today, however.
He sold for a searing £335,000 at Tattersalls Cheltenham in December after he walloped the opposition in a win at Lingstown, pulling clear in the last to deliver the showstopping triumph in style. Tumuch carries jockey Mr H C Swan today, which should add to his prospects in Kilkenny.
The aforementioned Port Joulain is the obvious danger and the race’s second big recent purchase. After his £300,000 pick up by WP Mullins, he ran respectably in a bumper at Doncaster and he has the pedigree to perform here.
Whatsyourproblem meanwhile, kept on and lost narrowly at Clonmel on his debut on February 15th and the prospect should be better for that experience against greener opponents today.

Best Roughie: Hi Riko – Hereford 4.02
Hi Rikohas has an uninspiring record of 0-8 over hurdles but he posted consecutive runner up finishes at Uttoxeter and Lingfield last November, which highlighted some untapped potential.
The 7-year-old ran to fourth at Lingfield last month, however, the drop back in distance today seems like a smart manoeuvre, while a 3lb decrease in the ratings can also help his cause. Back Hi Riko to score from a meaty price here.
Elsewhere, Hermes Le Gris has been earmarked as a major player on sports betting apps. He’s been in strong form for his new stable since the turn of the year and stood out when winning by 7l at Huntington in February.
