MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Friday’s race card line-up is a bumper edition with meetings at Bath, Brighton, Goodwood, Haydock, Market Rasen, Thirsk, Clonmel and Fairyhouse to pick our way through. Yesterday, one of our tips placed when Corsican Caper made the frame at Haydock, while Glor Tire delivered yet another winner for us when she did the business at Leopardstown. View our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Dancing In Paris – Goodwood, 20:45

We begin our latest hunt for winners in the latest race of the day at Goodwood, where Ian Williams’s Dancing In Paris is taken to score for the second time in a row.

The 4-year-old caught the eye last month when demolishing 19 opponents over 1m 4f at York and on that form alone, he should take some stopping. There is a 6lb rise to consider, however, Dancing in Paris retains our confidence.

Opposition could arrive in the form of Genesius. Sir Mark Prescott’s charge returned to the scene after an eight-month layoff to finish third in a Class 5 event at Lingfield, though the reliable sort is never far away and further progression looks possible.

Fiddlers Green, who has won three times in his last five outings is another that deserves a market check on horse racing betting sites.

Best Tip #2: Tag Man – Clonmel, 18:50

Henry De Bromhead’s Tag Man is taken to shine in Tipperary today ahead of a field of four opponents. The 8-year-old hasn’t been seen since finishing third at Cheltenham in October, though conditions look very suitable today and an instant impact looks possible on his return.

A former 2022 Punchestown festival bumper winner, Tag Man likes summer surfaces and deserves plenty of respect on his chase debut.

Miss J Harrington’s Ashdale Bob is the obvious alternative contender. He’s been very active this year so far, with mixed results, though he shaped up well to finish second at Punchestown on May 2nd on his last outing. T

oday’s chase will test his jumping skills, though market movement suggests he should be a player.

Best Roughie: Amanirenas – Fairyhouse, 17:40

The third race at Fairyhouse today has the feel of a very open contest and Amanirenas could be the contestant to pursue at a big price in Meath.

Finishes have been more down than up this year, however, the 5-year-old tends to excel at this track, as evidenced by a return of two wins from her last three appearances here. Her last win at Fairyhouse came as recently as May 30th in a similar race and a repeat showing isn’t out of the question.

Desert Haven meanwhile, has been favoured by many on some of the best betting apps in the ante-post shuffle. He was a C&D winner at Fairyhouse a year ago and has looked very shape since returning to racing in April.

A win at Leopardstown on April 10th was followed by another solid run to second at Naas in May, and competing off the same mark today, Desert Haven should be a menace.

Stats and Insights

  • The circuit at Goodwood tends to suit nimble horses, who are often best suited to the quick races and sharp turns there. Trainers Andrew Balding and William Haggas have enjoyed a decent amount of success at Goodwood over the last five years.
  • The track at Clonmel is almost rectangular in shape and alongside some tight turns there is an uphill finish to gallop up. The top trainers for jump races over the last five years in Clonmel include Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott and Henry De Bromhead.
  • Fairyhouse offers a fair setting for both flat and jump races, though there is a slight incline to climb towards the post. Jockeys Colin Keane, WJ Lee, Shane Foley, Seamie Heffernan and Gavin Ryan, who are all racing today, have good records at Fairyhouse over the last five years.
