Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 07/04

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s race card line-up features meetings at Bath, Carlisle, Exeter and Leopardstown across the UK and Ireland, and with a quartet of events to analyse, the potential to land some profit is there again. Yesterday, Devoted Queen delivered the goods for us at Kempton and our hunt for winners continues today. View our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1: Adaay In Devon – Bath, 3.08

Adaay In Devon won four times last season as a 2-year-old and she ran well on her first run of the New Year at Doncaster on March 23rd to finish fourth against some competitive opponents.

Competition doesn’t look quite so stiff this time around and the slight drop back in trip only enhances her chances. Adaay In Devon is the one to beat in the third race at Bath.

Elsewhere, Cuban Secret might be worth a market check on betting sites for horse racing later on. The 3-year-old is priced well down the reckoning at present but her record of 6-1-3-2-4 at the back end of the previous campaign was solid enough and she might be worth an each-way wager here.

AM Balding’s Equity Law is also expected to be thereabouts on his first run since August.

Best Tip #2: Helsgetaway – Carlisle, 5.05

Helsgetaway finished second in a Class 5 National Hunt Flat race in Newcastle on his last outing in December, though he was denied by just half a length on that occasion and he has the potential to go one better on his return to action at Carlisle.

The taxing finish at this circuit should suit the 5-year-old and he is taken to score for the first time for Miss Lucinda Russell.

Robby meanwhile, is shaping up to be an interesting debutant for Nicky Richards. The 5-year-old has useful pedigree, so follow the money to see if there is movement on him closer to time.

Gamesters Guy carries a 7lb penalty today, but was a winner on his debut at Uttoxeter last November and a keen runner to third at Aintree on Boxing Day.

Best Roughie: Behind The Curtain – Exeter, 3.00

Behind The Curtain produced a stirring performance off a big price to win at Wincanton over hurdles on March 27th and on that evidence, the 10-year-old looks backable at very favourable odds again at Exeter.

Behind The Curtain was moved up just 4lb in the rankings after his victory and running off a very fair mark, he deserves a spot on your shortlist.

Rivers Corner has been leading the markets on betting apps UK, however. A record of 4-1-1-3 from his last four efforts included wins over 3m at Taunton and Wincanton, and despite moving back in distance today, he is likely to be among the frontrunners again.

Elsewhere, Bobo Mac, who won at Ffos Las in early February catches the eye, as does Evan Williams’ charge Blackacre.

Stats and Insights

  • Bath is generally fair throughout, though there is an uphill finish to negotiate which can favour the strong gallopers. Trainer Gary Moore has won 36% of his races at Bath this season while jockey Billy Loughnane has won 11 of his 59 efforts there so far this term.
  • The pear-shaped circuit at Carlisle finishes with a long incline and the rise isn’t all that sharp, it can still test a horse’s stamina. Danny McMenamin leads the way for jockeys at Carlisle with six wins there this season, with Jonjo O’Neill Jr the next best with five victories.
  • There are plenty of undulations to get around the large track at Exeter and with conditions testing there at times, stamina is the watchword again. Jockey Lorcan Williams holds an impressive 50% strike rate at Exeter this term, while trainer Paul Nicholls has won with 39% of his entries.
