MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s race card line-up features meetings at Hamilton, Newmarket, Salisbury and Sligo across the UK and Ireland and we’re confident that we can sign off the weekend with some decent profit. Yesterday, we landed another winner when Kargese produced the goods for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend at Punchestown. Keep reading to discover our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Fallen Angel – Newmarket (1000 Guineas), 15:40

Karl Burke’s Fallen Angel wowed spectators when last seen in September last year when she beat the Irish in their own back yard to claim the spoils in the Moyglare at The Curragh. That spectacular display made quite an impact and was one of three victories in four tough races to finish 2023.

She should be suited to the slightly upped 1m distance today and the 3-year-old has very strong credentials ahead of this 1000 Guineas contest.

Dance Sequence meanwhile, is a course specialist having run at Newmarket in each of her last three outings and warrants respect. The filly, who has been building interest on horse racing betting sites, finished second at the track in a Class 1 event on April 17th and could build on that effort here.

AP O’Brien has won this Classic seven times and he has put his backing into Ylang Ylang today. The Frankel filly won the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket in October and should be in the mix again.

Best Tip #2: Katie Bairdie – Sligo, 13:40

Katie Bairdie, who is the daughter of No Nay Never, competed well at Cork on March 30th before dropping off to third late on, though the shorter trip at Sligo today could be just what she needs to score. T

rainer Fozzy Stack has started the new campaign with plenty of promise and he could add deliver another success for his credentials with this lightly-raced 3-year-old.

Opposition could arrive in the form of Oh So Bright. Brought to race by Mrs J Harrington, she looked like she was built for sprinting in her last two outings at Dundalk (4th, 3rd), and could be one to track over a short trip at Cork.

Marble Angel, who has been off the scene since December, is open to further progression and could be another name for shortlists.

Best Roughie: Fravanco – Salisbury, 17:35

Fravanco was a runner-up on two occasions over a similar trip on a Polytrack surface over the winter, and could be a big-price option if that form is recaptured today.

A return to turf only adds to interest here and the 5-year-old, though the 5-year-old will have to improve on the pace he set at Kempton last month (6th). Still, there is potential to release and a market check on betting apps could be a smart move.

While Fravanco gets the nod, Coriscan Caper is undoubtedly the one to beat in the day’s last race at Salisbury. The 4-year-old has already lodged three wins this year and has had a very active schedule.

There is a 6lb rise to bear today, which could be significant, though his form isn’t easily dismissed and he should be thereabouts again.

  • The track at Sligo is a right-handed run market by sharp bends and undulations. There is a slight uphill surge towards the end and speedier types tend to do well there. Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott have both had four wins at Sligo so far this season, while hockey HC Swan has enjoyed two victories from three races there.
  • The layout at Salisbury is uphill in the main, which can often proving testing or younger horses. There is no draw bias to consider there, though an extra bit of stamina comes in handy. Jockeys Rossa Ryan and Oisin Murphy have been the ones to look out for at Salisbury this term, while trainer Ralph Beckett is the leader in that department so far.
