Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 04/11

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

We begin a new week of racing with a five-part card on Monday and with events at Hereford, Kempton, Plumpton, Southwell and Wolverhampton to look forward to, the potential to land some profit is there again.

Yesterday, we tipped yet another winner for our readers thanks to Gorgeous Tom’s success at Cork and below, you can view our latest horse racing betting tips for the day’s action.

Best Tip #1: Military Academy – Kempton, 14:20

The Gosdens-trained charge, Military Academy, could be the one to back in what is shaping up to be a competitive race at Kempton. The talented 3-year-old only made his debut in August and he won at Hamilton on that occasion before following up with another victory at Salisbury shortly after.

He moved up the grades to a Class 1 race last time out and landed in second spot at Newmarket, so he should have the required ability to make another bold bid here.

Elsewhere, Aimeric could be another name to weigh up on the best betting sites for horse racing.

The 5-year-old finished third behind Military Academy and another at Newmarket when last seen and that was his fourth frame finish in five Listed races. Switching to an AW surface today, Aimeric has enough in his locker to be thereabouts again.

Best Tip #2: Princess T – Hereford, 15:45

Princess T was a solid performer in Jersey and beat all to win when moving across to English soil last month, getting over the line at Wincanton over a trip of 1m 7f.

The 9-year-old has a record of 2-4-2-2-1 from her last five races overall and inched up just 4lb in the ratings ahead of today’s burst, she could have decent credentials again.

James Owen’s Love Tree is expected to be among the leading contenders, meanwhile. The 4-year-old tasted victory at Chepstow in a Class 4 Novice Hurdle when she was last in action, though that triumph came all the way back in March.

Jockey Alex Chadwick comes equipped with a 5lb claimer today and that should give Love Tree a chance at returning with a bang.

Best Roughie: Daytona Lady – Southwell, 18:45

Daytona Lady is the least-fancied entrant and the horse with the biggest price on betting apps ahead of today’s 6f race at Southwell, though the 4-year-old could make light of her underdog status to compete.

With two C&D wins on her record, including a victory at Southwell in July, Daytona Lady knows how to get to the post and a good pace today should enhance her chances.

Elsewhere, Coup De Force could be a worth alternative to consider, albeit at a much tighter price.

With four wins from eight outings, the 5-year-old has been hitting plenty of the right notes, and though she hasn’t been tested too much on All-Weather surfaces, she can have a big say here. Coup De Force was a winner at Southwell as recently as October 5th, so expect her to feature.

Stats and Insights

  • Kempton is among the flatter courses in the UK and it tends to suit sprinters, with stamina slightly less important. Trainers Andrew Balding and Charlie Appleby have both enjoyed 70 or more wins on the AW at Kempton over the last five seasons.
  • Hereford closes with a snappy downhill run, so we like our tips to be involved from the front towards the end. Dan Skelton, Paul Nicholls, Kerry Lee, Jonjo O’Neill and Venetia Williams are the trainers to watch out for at Hereford.
  • Southwell is another left-handed oval track that runs for approximately a mile, while the Fibresand surface demands stamina from runners competing there. Michael Appleby has won an unbeatable 78 races at Southwell over the last five campaigns.
