Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 04/07

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Thursday’s race card line-up is another bumper edition with meetings at Haydock, Kempton, Newbury, Perth, Yarmouth, Bellewstown and Tipperary across the UK and Ireland to dissect. Yesterday, two of our three picks placed, though we’re cranking up our search for winners today and you can read our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Albert Cee – Haydock, 15:40

Albert Cee made light work of the field to land a win on his debut for his new stable at Chepstow last month and that was his second triumph in three outings since September last year.

The 4-year-old, who is still unexposed, carries a 10lb penalty into today’s race, though that might not be enough to slow him down and he warrants plenty of respect.

Opposition could arrive in the form of Tiriac, whose form has been excellent of late. A win over 6f at Windsor on May 6th set the trend and was quickly built upon with another win at York over the same trip shortly after.

His latest run to third at York again in another big field over C&D also impressed and Tiriac could be worth sizing up on sports betting apps.

Best Tip #2: Indemnity – Kempton, 19:00

Indemnity put himself on the radar as a well-treated runner to second at Leicester in a handicap event in May, looking very comfortable in the process.

He opened his account in similar style at Nottingham a couple of weeks after that and he is the preferred choice to get the better of the rest again over the same trip at Kempton today.

Pumalin Park also has credentials and if he can find the form that landed him top billing at Salisbury on June 16, he should be thereabouts again.

Whitcombe Rockstar is priced just outside the reckoning, though back-to-back wins at Kempton in April and May were notable. The 5-year-old finished 12th at Kempton again when last seen, though he is capable of better and could do something here.

Best Roughie: Minx Tiara – Tipperary, 18:15

Minx Tiara carries excellent form into today’s third race at Tipperary, which has the makings of a competitive affair. She looked the part when winning a Lister Hurdle event at Killarney on May 12th and her follow-up showing to win at Listowel was also an eye-catching display.

The 9-year-old saw off two of today’s rivals in both of her recent triumphs and she should go close again if things go as they should

Willie Mullins’ Daddy Long Legs will likely be the one setting the standard, meanwhile, and with Paul Townend in the saddle, the talented 5-year-old has already been backed into an odds-on price on betting sites for horse racing.

Mullins’ Winter Fog, who is a four-time winning hurdler, could be another each-way candidate.

Stats and Insights

  • If the weather holds, Haydock can be a fair setting for most types due to the gentle undulations and turns. Trainers William Haggas, Ralph Beckett, Richard Hannon, David O’Meara and KR Burke have all enjoyed success at Haydock over the last five seasons.
  • Speedier types can often be the ones to back at Kempton with the circuit there offering a flat setting where acceleration can be a key trait. Trainers Nicky Henderson, Paul Nicholls and Dan Skelton have been dominant at Kempton in jump races.
  • Tipperary is an oval-shaped, left-handed run that has tight bends to navigate. Jockeys WJ Lee, Colin Keane, Shane Foley, Gavin Ryan and Luke McAteer have all enjoyed success at Tipperary over the last five seasons.
