Sunday’s racing card line-up featured a quartet of exciting events at Lingfield, Musselburgh, Newcastle and Leopardstown, giving punters and online horse racing betting fans plenty of scope for success before tomorrow’s bank holiday. Yesterday, one of our selections – Sir Titan – placed from a starting price at 8/1, though we’re doubly determined to land some winners today. Check out our latest horse racing betting tips below.
Best Tip #1: Beau Balko – Musselburgh 1.50
Beau Balko is a dual hurdle winner who finished second in two chases at the back end of last year, and he has decent claims here off the same mark. Beau Balko was beaten 3l by Chanceaux off odds of 6/5 in his latest run, though he is taken to go one better at Musselburgh.
The six-year-old has been coming close without quite making the post, though a win feels overdue and today’s race could be the one.
Elsewhere, Cedar Hill, who impressed over the summer and autumn last year, could offer competition, despite falling at the same track in January.
Bollingerandkrug meanwhile, has dropped down a grade after struggling at Newbury, though a string of victories before that in Class 3 and 4 races suggest there is potential to unlock now that he has taken a slight step down.

Best Tip #2: Juicy – Newcastle 6.00
Juicy earned a win by 4l on her Southwell debut on December 15 before she only just failed to follow that success up with another at Chelmsford last month. Both of those promising runs hint that a mark of 78 should be favourable today and Richard Spencer’s filly could be worth siding with ahead of the rest at Newcastle.
Juicy lost by just half a length by Blazes Boylan last time out from a starting price of 3/10, and with odds far more enticing today, she is taken to experience that winning feeling again.
Moon Flight meanwhile, has been a pillar of consistency since November last year and has finished second four times and first once. Two of those runner up positions were landed at Newcastle, so the four-year-old might represent value in the each way stakes.
Night on Earth also deserves attention after a recent win at Lingfield, though a 5lb increase shouldn’t be discounted there.

Best Roughie: So Scottish – Leopardstown 3.50
So Scottish is taken here to rebound over hurdles off a lenient mark today and the prices are right. The seven-year-old, who is under Donagh Meyler at Leopardstown, was going well in a Class 1 event at Cheltenham in December before he fell with four fences to jump and he has already recorded previous victories in a hurdle race, two chases and a point-to-point from 2m to 3m on good and good – yielding ground before.
An Tobar and Bialystok, who finished third and fourth in the Royal Bond both deserve respect, while Magical Zoe is a horse on the up and is also off a good mark on her handicap debut.
Common Practice won well at Fairyhouse on December 3rd and should also be tracked with interest, but initial preference is for So Scottish, especially with the generous prices on offer on betting apps.

Stats and Insights
- Musselburgh is a right-handed track with sharpish turns, so horses with athleticism tend to suit the run. Big gallopers can something struggle to hit their stride due to the make-up of the circuit. It can be favourable to be drawn high over 7 furlong and 1 mile races.
- A favourite track for Aidan O’Brien and Willie Mullins, Leopardstown is favoured by gallopers due to the lack of tough bends and a head of steam can be built up fast by strong runners. The circuit runs left-handed over one-mile six furlongs.
- Stamina is the name of the game at Newcastle and the horses with staying power are always worth a look when compiling betting tips for the track. Both the chase and hurdle tracks at Newcastle are left-handed and the final uphill furlong can put the squeeze on entrants.
