Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 03/06

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

I’m back in the saddle after a well-earned break and with meetings across the UK and Ireland at Ayr, Brighton, Wetherby, Windsor, Gowran Park and Listowel to mark the start of a fresh week, the potential for profit feels lofty again. Check out Monday’s free horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Passionate – Gowran Park, 16:35

Passionate roared to victory when last seen at Killarney last month when she won by an impressive six lengths in a competitive handicap over 1m.

Further success for Andrew Slattery’s filly could be in the works today, though the 4-year-old will need to overcome a stiff 13lb increase after her sparkling showing in Kerry. Nevertheless, she is taken to deliver again.

Elsewhere, Annexation could be another name to weigh up on horse racing betting sites. The 130-rated hurdler made an excellent return to action in April when winning at Gowran Park and Henry De Bromhead’s 8-year-old should be thereabouts all going well again today.

Stablemate Emotivo is another interesting entry who arrives on the back of a win at Cheltenham.

Best Tip #2: Red Pixie – Windsor, 18:15

In what looks like an open third race at Windsor, Red Pixie could be the one to hitch your trailer to. She raced keenly at Yarmouth last time out in April before fading late on to finish third, though further progression looks possible today, especially with the talented 3-year-old dropping in trip to a sprinting distance. That shorter run should allow her to finish with more power.

Gutsy Girl could be next in line to threaten. The twice-raced filly hasn’t been seen since August last year, though she signed off with a win at Carlisle on that occasion and the Commonwealth Cup entrant warrants respect on her return.

Bourgeoisie meanwhile, finished third three times on the spin before breaking for the winter and could also be involved.

Best Roughie: Key Look – Wetherby, 19:00

Key Look catches the eye at a big price in the second race of the day at Wetherby and the 7-year-old has the credentials to upset the established order.

Key Look has a bumper five previous wins over this distance and four of those were achieved off today’s mark or higher. He shaped up well to finish third at Catterick last month and could mix it near the front again here.

Night Of Desire has enjoyed plenty of backing in the ante-post markets on sports betting apps meanwhile.

The 3-year-old’s win at Chelmsford in February has almost certainly been a factor there, though that win wasn’t comfortable and others are preferred today. Inanna, who runs off a kind mark, is among those with better prospects.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Gowran Park is a right-handed oval with an uphill closer of three furlongs. Jockeys Colin Keane, Ben Coen, WJ Lee and Shane Foley have all enjoyed 20 or more wins at Gowran Park over the last five years.
  • Windsor runs around an unconventional figure of eight course and bends can be tight there as a consequence. When selecting tips for Windsor, look out for horses trained by Richard Hannon, Andrew Balding, William Haggas and Ralph Beckett.
  • Wetherby, which is an oval-shaped circuit, is generally a fair setting for most types. Jockey Daniel Tudhope, who has four rides at today’s meeting, has won with eight of his 29 efforts at Wetherby over the last half a decade.
