Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 03/04

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Wednesday’s racing programme in the UK features just two meetings, though the events at Catterick and Kempton should provide us with more than enough angles to pursue in the markets. Yesterday, we landed another winner to continue our streak when Easy Peasy won at Ludlow, so let’s hope our head of steam can power us to more success today. Below, you can delve into our latest horse racing betting tips for Wednesday’s action.

Best Tip #1: Eye Of Dubai – Catterick, 3.25

Eye Of Dubai was shaping up like a potential winner in the autumn when he landed second spot in races at Chester and Redcar. He has been gelded since and should be a major payer with progression expected.

The slight upping in trip from 6f to 7f could be a difference-maker. Eye Of Dubai was beaten by just a head on his last push over the shorter distance.

Elemental Eye could be the opponent to offer the most threat. He showed solid enough form over similar distances last term and has also been gelded between seasons.

His yard has been doing good business so far this year and Elemental Eye could be worth a market check on sports betting apps a little closer to time.

Best Tip #2: Brioni – Kempton, 4.50

Alan King’s Brioni started with promise to finish third in a Class 3 race at Sandown last September and used that as a platform for improvement a month later to land second place at Kempton.

He went close behind an odds-on favourite that day and with Rossa Ryan in the saddle today, he could be ready to go one better to finally score. The 3-year-old colt is taken to do the business here.

Jayyash is an interesting alternative in the first race at Kempton. He made a reappearance for the first time since last August when hitting second spot at Southwell on March 14th, and on that evidence, he should be a contender today.

Hill Spirit, who has a record of 2-4-1-4-3 from his last five outings, could be another to track.

Best Roughie: Sergeant Mayer – Catterick, 2.25

Sergeant Mayer finished second on each of his last three efforts in the Autumn and he carries over the same rating to today’s reappearance at Catterick, which could give him a shot at scoring off a big price.

The 5f distance today should be comfortable for the 3-year-old and running off a competitive mark could make him one of the more interesting contenders.

Elsewhere, there has been interest on other online horse racing betting outlets for Crack The Kode. The 3-year-old has been missing since October last year, though he won twice in three races before his absence with both of those victories secured at Catterick.

Kevin Ryan’s gelding is 3lb higher than last year, but should still be in the mix.

Stats and Insights

  • The circuit at Catterick is an undulating track with sharp turns and it’s important for our tips to be involved from the front throughout. Trainer Jonjo O’Neill has a fine record at Catterick this season, winning five of his 12 races there. Jockey Richie McLernon has a 57% win rate at the track this term.
  • Kempton is considered a fair course due to the flatness of the track and the gentle turns. Speedier types can usually have a good time there. Trainer Nicky Henderson has already posted seven wins at Kempton this season, while jockey David Bass has ridden four wins from seven races.
