Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 02/09

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Monday’s race card line up features meetings at Brighton, Chepstow, Windsor and Roscommon across the UK and Ireland, offering us numerous potentially-profitable avenues to explore. Last week, we enjoyed a tipping hot streak, landing winner after winner for our readers, so let’s hope for more of the same. View our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Bear To Dream – Brighton, 16:20

Bear To Dream delivered the goods on August 9th over a distance of 6f at Brighton and that was her third win at the track.

She made the winning post with room to spare earlier this month with Kaiya Fraser in the saddle and with the pair reunited here, a 4lb increase might not be enough to scupper their chance of following up. Bear To Dream gets the nod on the best betting sites for horse racing here.

Nelson Rose, who managed to lodge a breakthrough win at Brighton on August 7th, is another name of interest.

Equipped with a workable mark, the front-running type hasn’t been far off in any of her last five outings (4-2-4-1-4), so expect this consistent sort to be thereabouts again. Alfred Cove is a bit of a track specialist at Brighton and also warrants respect.

Best Tip #2: First Encounter – Chepstow, 16:40

First Encounter arrives at Chepstow with momentum having scored for the first time at Leicester on July 24th. He rattled off a good second-place finish at the same tracks a couple of weeks later, but was beaten by only a nose.

Further progress looks possible here, especially given the 3-year-old’s slight 1lb rise in the ratings and First Encounter earns our preference here.

Hey Big Spender has been attracting plenty of market interest, though Weston Court could be a better alternative and second choice behind First Encounter.

He limped to 10th at Bath last time out, but won successive races before that over 1m. The smaller field could suit his chances at Chepstow today, another bold bid looks possible.

Best Roughie: Play It Again Zaam – Roscommon, 16:45

Play It Again Zaam was a winner at Gowran Park over C&D and at Roscommon in early summer and in testing conditions today, the 4-year-old could have what it takes to succeed again.

Play It Again Zaam was lucky enough to land the kindest draw over by the rail today and representing a new yard for the first time, he could have the right set of circumstances to shine.

Elsewhere, Cannes Do could be another name to consider on sports betting apps. His push to second at Naas over 1m was impressive enough when last seen and moving up just 1lb in the ratings today, he should be a player in the soft to heavy conditions at Roscommon.

Manhattan Dandy, who is a former dual winner on heavy ground, also has credentials.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Brighton is an undulating setting with some sharp bends to negotiate. More agile types can often be the ones to back there as a result. Tony Carroll has easily been the most successful trainer at Brighton over the last five seasons, notching 51 wins in flat races at the course.
  • Chepstow is a left-handed run with undulations and a straight section of around a mile. Jockeys Hollie Doyle, Gina Mangan, David Probert, Rossa Ryan and Charles Bishop have all tasted success on numerous occasions at Chepstow.
  • The course at Roscommon is sharp in nature and the testing nature of bends can suit the nimbler horses over those with longer strides. JP O’Brien, Ger Lyons and Mrs John Harrington have all posted double-figure wins at Roscommon over the last five flat campaigns.
