Thursday’s horse racing tips are extracted from three events in the UK at Chelmsford, Ffos Las and Wincanton, and we’re aiming to apply our expert analysis to good effect again after all three of our selections, including a 7/1 pick, placed yesterday. We’ve compiled another set of free horse racing predictions below alongside some of the sharpest prices from the best betting apps. Keep reading to discover today’s predictions.
Best Tip #1: Heure de Glorie – Ffos Las 14.00
Sawpit Sienna was our initial pick for this race, though she has already been announced as a non-runner and that could open the door for Heure de Glorie to prevail.
She notched a notched a noteworthy fourth-place finish at Uttoxeter last month might be worth a turn, especially with Ellis Collier claiming 7lb.
Heure de Glorie has won three hurdle races from 1m 7f to 2m 1f on good to soft and soft ground. She finished fourth of 10 at a big 16-1 on her latest run and should do better here.
Favour might also be given to Spiced Rum, who made the frame in two juvenile hurdles in December. She could be one to watch on her handicap hurdle debut here.

Best Tip #2: Take Your Time – Wincanton 3.45
Preference here is given to Take Your Time, a lightly-raced 9-year-old trained by Paul Nicholls. Take Your Time has thrived since switching to chasing this season and is unbeaten in that discipline so far.
He won at Wincanton in early December over 3m 1f, a couple of months after winning again at Newton Abbot in a Class 4 Novice Chase Handicap. The distance looks right again here and Take Your Time should be hard to beat.
Manofthepeople could be an alternative choice for punters chasing a bigger price. Fine on all ground, Manofthepeople didn’t pull up trees at Doncaster in December, however a 7lb claim should offer assistance and he could recapture some of his chasing form from the previous season.
Jacamar meanwhile – who has been given the nod on other horse racing betting sites – is unexposed over this trip and could threaten.

Best Roughie: Conquest of Power – Chelmsford 6.00
Conquest of Power is taken to give another good account of himself having comfortably succeeded at Chelmsford just last month over 7f. A 3lb rise doesn’t seem like much to bear and while he isn’t the only in-form horse involved here, he does like this course.
Conquest of Power landed a second-place finish at Chelmsford in November last year. He won from a starting price of 10/3 last month and the odds are much better this time around. You might have to get on this one with haste to take advantage before they close.
Cervetto should provide a stiff test to overcome following a victory on his handicap debut at Lingfield just six days ago. If fatigue stays clear, he should run well again today. Chola Empire has been dropping down the ratings but still deserves respect, though prices suggest a place is a best bet there.

Stats and Insights
- Wincanton features three rapid fences after the home straight, so the best jumpers can often find favour in our tips for races there. The track is a flat right-handed oval run with some acute bends. Horses that like to lead from the front often do well here.
- Ffos Las is usually one for the gallopers due to the make-up of the track and how it develops. Strong runners can build up a head of steam quite quickly and there is little on the course to slow them down once they get going. Look for horses with go at Fflos Las.
- Chelmsford is another run for galloping horses to enjoy with nice open bends and two straights of around a furlong each to accelerate through. There isn’t much of a draw bias to consider here. Trainer Mark Johnston has enjoyed a great deal of success at Chelmsford.
