The EFT Systems Handicap Hurdle, first run in 1985, was previously known as the Oddbins Handicap Hurdle. It is a Grade 3 NH (National Hunt) handicap hurdle race in the Aintree Grand National Festival for horses aged four and older. The course run at The Aintree race track is over three miles and half a furlong, with 13 hurdles.
The race was promoted to a Grade 3 status in 2010. In 2014, the race carried the name The Dominican Republic Handicap Hurdle and in the following year, it was run as the Injured Jockeys Fund. Since 2016, it has been sponsored by Gaskells, and thus the name was changed again for sponsorship reasons.

EFT Systems Handicap Hurdle: Tips, Predictions and Previews
Note: the tips below refer to the 2021 Grand National Festival; updated previews will be available on the week of the 2022 Festival.
Teenager Unowhatimeanharry still goes well and has won here this season, but it would be some effort off top-weight to snare this. Come On Teddy, J’ai Froid and Tea Clipper are all considered but POLISH and Southfield Harvest have plenty going for them. They finished first and third at Newbury in February over a similar trip, Fergal O’Brien’s improver coming out on top. The ex-flat horse really appeared to relish that first attempt over this distance and a 7lb rise may not stop him going close again. Southfield Harvest sports new headgear and doesn’t have a lot to find on the revised terms.
