Harlow is the centre of attention on Wednesday with another fascinating puzzle of a card.

A string of opens look competitive fare with a number of outside kennels bringing decent performers to the track to take on the locals.

Stripes Looks a Perfect Draw for Trump

Indian Trump has been a touch inconsistent from the lids in recent weeks. He stays this trip strongly so when he does time his break perfectly, it makes him a very hard hound to contain at 9/4.

The five should move left on the run to the bend so he will have plenty of space to operate in at 20:23. Roger York’s veteran clocked 26.10 at the end of July, a repeat of that will see him home in front.

York Should Relish This Clash

Another for York with a big chance is 9/2 Clasharinka in the 21:02. She stays this 415m trip strongly but has shown her stamina doesn’t stretch to the 592m trip here in recent starts.

One without local knowledge outside her can see the door open wide on the inside round the opening two turns and she can take full advantage. Her two quickest runs have come when drawn in one as she is here, this looking a plum draw once more.

Turkey Deserves a Change of Luck

Things have not gone smoothly for 13/8 Chasing Turkey in two recent runs at Harlow but he has left the impression that he is more than capable of winning here when things go to plan.

A clean run to the opening turn would be a big help to him, with bundles of middle pace the most potent part of his arsenal. He won at Swindon on Sunday so he brings that confidence back here for Dave Lee at 19:44.

Afina to Take the Pot

Philfen Afina has not run over this trip since January which is surprising given she thrashed that field, clocking a solid 38.15 in the process.

She has the early gears to lead up the 19:07 field for Dick Philpot and at 6/1, can punish any trouble behind her at the opening turns.

Towcester Sprinter to Win at Brannew Track

This is a first look at Harlow for 11/2 Brannew Sonny. A track that some relish first time and some struggle with, it is always a risk trying to find the right ones. He is an experienced hound having run at five previous tracks and as a railer, tends to run bends tightly elsewhere.

He is a D1 winner at Towcester, which is a strong grade, so a maiden sprint open should be well within his capabilities on that. This looks a nice draw in one at 19:24 for Peter Henman, with the two a middle mover.
