Greyhounds Betting Tips: Hopes High for Bullet at Romford

With 12 races at Romford on Friday night, there's plenty of action for Greyhound punters to get stuck into.

The traditional top-class Friday night open racing from Romford kicks off the action this weekend for greyhound punters and the 12-race card from London Road offers up plenty of decent wagers.

Bullet to fire in lucky last

The best bet on the card from the Essex circuit is in the finale at 21.28 with Mark Wallis’ classy Hopes Bullet (6/5) fancied to go from the front and make all the running. A classy four-bend hound, the 575m trip will stretch him, but he ran with credit in defeat last month when last sighted at Romford and is capable of a better start than he produced on that occasion. Flanked by slow starters tonight, he can zip clear and dominate throughout.

Keep Aido on Side

Gemma Evans’ Speak Out Aida (7/4) bumped into the exciting Russian Blake last week on her comeback run, but performed well to finish second and can go one better tonight in the first of the open races at 18.43.

She has some smart form in the book over course and distance, with her early speed she can get across to the inside rail from trap three and boss proceedings.

Paul Young’s debutant Bubbly Maniac is an interesting debutant and one for punters to keep an eye on having trialled in well.

Thief is Housed Nicely in Red Jacket

Young could be set for a decent night and his exciting Droopys Thief (13/8) is drawn to go well in the maiden contest at 18.58. It didn’t go to plan for this well-regarded type at Towcester in the Maiden Derby, but this represents a significant drop in class and he can make the most of a brilliant draw against the fence in trap one.

Encouraging Effort from Callum

Michelle Brown’s Signature Callum in the 20:54 is one of the more experienced runners on show tonight and boasts a strike-rate of 10 wins from 29 starts in the striped jacket of trap six. He has, however, been beaten on his last three visits to the London Road stadium but his effort last week suggested a return to the winners’ enclosure is imminent.

Droopys Flight on his inside in trap five is an erratic breaker and this is a great chance for Signature Callum to bounce back to winning ways.

Russian is Romford Ready

John Mullins’ Russian Blake saw off maiden company on his UK debut last week in fine style and is ready to step up into standard company this week in the 21:12. Carrying a smart Irish card, this son of Laughil Blake carries all the characteristics to be a success over 400m on Friday nights at Romford and punters must side with him tonight.

Capable of a fast start, this speedster possesses sensational speed into the first bend and can dominate from the outset once again.
