Greyhound Tips: On a Wednesday, the only way is Essex

Harlow is the scene for Wednesday's Greyhound tips, with Chilli Habanero expected to shine for Paul Young in the 21.02.

The Wednesday open racing at Harlow has bedded back in really well after a hiatus. Always competitive action round a sharp track, the races are a fascinating puzzle to solve once more.

Chilli too hot to handle

Chilli Habanero ran well last week given that she had never made a prior visit to Harlow. Unable to get to the front, she was in a rough contest in the pack but still showed plenty of her usual zest for racing.

With that under her belt, it’s reasonable to expect better from her now, especially with a pair of slow starters inside her. She traps well at Romford, so if able to come away like that, the 4/1 shot can dominante from an early stage for Paul Young at 21.02.

Wendy to prove a darling

Sectional times at Crayford show Seomra Wendy as a bitch with a huge amount of early pace. She was not quite able to show that here last week, failing by half a length to go around clean in front.

Her home track form for Nick Deas shows that she is capable of coming away far better than that so she looks worth supporting with that in mind. With one of her better breaks, at 9/4, she should be away and gone in the 18.48.

Leclair to play first fiddle

Jamie Kingsley has been sending plenty of runners to Harlow on a Wednesday night and 15/8 Leclair Noire strikes as the perfect type to rack up the wins here. She was runner-up in a pair of sprint opens before filling the same spot over this 415m trip last week.

She has been unfortunate to keep running into some nice types but the experience of this track will be doing her good. The field she faces at 18.33 looks to lack the same class as of late and that can see her home in front.

Lily looks a dapper girl

Dapper Lily strikes as one of the best drawn dogs on the card. She does her best work from the striped jacket of six which she sports tonight. In five is a hound who moves left from trap four so will give her plenty of room to operate.

She had a nice trial here over two bends to get a lay of the land and can put that to good use for Gemma Evans at 19.07. The best of her form from her home track of Romford sets a strong standard here, with her 7/4 to strike.

Lola to grant Dolby’s wish

A winner over this 592m trip on her last two visits, 7/2 Lolas Wish can notch up a Harlow hat-trick for trainer Pam Dolby. Those successes have come in decent times and she has her favoured jacket on her back at 20.03.

Ragtime Storm in five would be the biggest threat to her if finding her best form but she was a little bit disappointing in defeat last week and has a bit to prove off the back of that.
