Wednesday night is Harlow night, another six open races on the slate over three different trips as the track continues to lead the way with regards to variety on a weekly basis.

Everyone’s Talking About Jamie

It was great to see Jamie Kingsley’s Leclair Noire get her head in front last week, ending a frustrating run of second place finishes. She was the quickest qualifier for the 415m final at 20.43 and should add to her tally.

A December 2019 whelp, she is still a puppy so there should be a touch more to come from her with confidence high for a trainer who looks set to go onto bigger and better things himself.

Ragtime to Storm to Another Victory

Ragtime Storm has been the flag bearer for the Dan Brabon kennel in 2021, winning three of her last four starts over Harlow’s 592m trip, and she will be bidding for another success at 19.44.

She can use her early pace to get first run on her opponents. She clocked 38 dead seven nights back, a repeat of that would set a very strong standard for the others to aim at.

Daly Back to Raid Harlow

Jim Daly has done well with his Harlow runners over the last couple of years. Millview Black should prove well suited to the 592m test in the 18.48 after showing some smart form at her home track of Crayford.

She is an open race winner over the 540m trip at the Kent track, producing a solid enough time in the process. A sighter here over 415m last week can set her up perfectly for this assignment.

Philfen to Pilfer the Win

Dick Philpot can get on the board for the night courtesy of Philfen Afina in the 20.23. A winner over the 415m trip the last twice she has seen action, the return to six bends won’t be an issue for her.

Luck in running deserted her when last over this far, behind a pair who re-oppose in what was a messy contest early for her. A clean run round the opening two turns can see her steal this one late on.

Wendy to Get Things Right

Seomra Wendy is another who could do with a cleaner run round, finding trouble on both starts at Harlow. She has plenty of natural speed, a 23.45 winner at Crayford in October showing there is a smart engine at her disposal.

Capable of trapping better than she has in either start here, if she can get that right then she will be hard for her rivals to contain at 18.33 to pick up a winner for Nick Deas.
