Thrilling Fight in Store for This Season’s Scudetto

Serie A is turning out to be one of Europe's most engaging divisions this season and there looks set to be plenty more twists and turns at both ends of the table this weekend.

Serie A looked like being one of the most competitive leagues in Europe before a ball was kicked this season and it has certainly lived up to the case so far, with many teams believing there is a real chance of landing this season’s Scudetto.

The outright market remains wide-open with six teams at 11/1 or under and it looks set to be another thrilling weekend of Serie A action with the Turin derby taking centre stage on Saturday, followed by Atalanta versus AC Milan on Sunday.

Torino Could Turn Tables on Juve in Derby

Juve normally dominate their local derby with neighbours Torino and not since 2015 have the Old Lady been turned over but at odds of 3/1, it could be worth going for a shock result.

Torino competed well against Juve last season despite nearly suffering relegation and were able to hold them to a draw at home, eventually succumbing to a late Cristiano Ronaldo equaliser.

Ronaldo is no longer around and Juventus have struggled in Serie A this term, losing to Empoli and Napoli, drawing against Udinese and were also far from convincing in seeing off Spezia and Sampdoria.

Better has come in the Champions League, most notably Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Chelsea, but that defensive output will have taken much out of the legs of a side already missing attacking strike duo Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala.

Torino, unbeaten in four, have picked up a shrewd coach in Ivan Juric in the summer from Verona and should leave last season’s desperate relegation fight well behind them.

Champions to Show Their Class

Later on Saturday, Inter should be able to justify their favouritism and land odds of 10/13 at a Sassuolo side who are probably not as strong as last season following the departure of boss Roberto De Zerbi, plus midfield maestro Manuel Locatelli.

This season’s results have been average and, despite talk of their demise due to the departure of Romelu Lukaku and Antonio Conte, the champions still look pretty strong.

Inter have scored at least twice in every Serie A match and the firepower of Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez can see the Nerazzurri land a third road triumph of the campaign.

Napoli Can Maintain Perfect Start

Table-toppers Napoli have made the perfect start domestically with six wins on the spin and they should be taken to be in seventh heaven on their trip to Fiorentina.

However, rather than the match odds of 20/21, it could be worth backing Napoli and over 2.5 goals at 2/1.

Luciano Spalletti is getting a fine tune out of Napoli and, just like Inter, they have scored at least twice in every Serie A fixture.

Striker Victor Osimhen is looking dangerous with four goals in his last three league outings and they carry a major attacking threat.

Fiorentina, though, are capable of playing their part. They have scored in every match this season and there remains huge noise around their star striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Goals Galore in Bergamo

Go for goals – at least four of them at odds of 17/10 – when Atalanta welcome Milan to Bergamo.

Atalanta’s chaotic 2-2 draw with Inter last week highlighted their strengths and weaknesses and Milan have been on target in all of their games this term.
