Away from the intensity of the Premier League title race, the rest of the division all of their own agendas they are pushing and the big games rack up again this Saturday. Aston Villa have progressed in the FA Cup and the Champions League, with Ipswich Town at home now at the forefront of their minds. Elsewhere, Bournemouth will be looking to inflict more misery on south coast rivals Southampton, whilst Crystal Palace and Everton meet at Selhurst Park.
Aston Villa vs Ipswich Town – Aston Villa to win
4/9 at Rhino Bet
There is a real buzz surrounding Aston Villa currently, with new signings arriving at the club with a sense of optimism and Unai Emery’s side continue to fight on three fronts. Next up is a meeting with Ipswich, a side who are battling for their Premier League lives but continue to be blighted by inconsistency. Villa’s Premier League form has been patchy this season, with cup competitions stretching their squad but they will have enjoyed a week off ahead of this one and they should come out on top, a view shared by most punters and EPL betting sites.
Southampton vs Bournemouth – Bournemouth to win
3/5 at Betzone
It has been an incredible campaign for Bournemouth, who find themselves firmly in the mix to finish inside at least the top 6 this season and their meeting with Southampton here should be a tasty one. For the hosts, bouncing back from their FA Cup loss to Championship side Burnley will be key, as they look to engineer one of the great Premier League relegation escapes. Meanwhile, the Cherries arrive full of confidence, fresh of their FA Cup triumph at Everton and with confidence brimming within the squad, this should be another way win for Bournemouth.
Crystal Palace vs Everton – Draw
12/5 at Rhino Bet
Two sides that have climbed away from relegation trouble this season and who are looking to kick on up the table meet here, as Crystal Palace host Wolves. The Eagles are going along pretty well under Oliver Glasner, but inconsistency continues to limit how high up the table they can climb. Meanwhile, Everton have been coming to terms with life under old but new manager David Moyes and whilst their home form has been good, they will want to start demonstrating some resolve on the road too. On paper, there is very little to split these two sides, and an entertaining draw could well be on the cards in south east London.
