Manchester City remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League following Arsenal’s defeat to Bournemouth last weekend, but it is Liverpool who sit at the top of the tree. There are plenty of sides in pursuit though, with the likes of Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford all having started their respective campaigns well and all three will be chasing important wins once again this weekend.
Brentford vs Ipswich Town – Brentford to win
3/4 at Rhino Bet
Thomas Frank continues to get the very best out of his Brentford side and despite a narrow loss to Manchester United last weekend, the Bees are still well placed this term. Next up is a home game against Ipswich Town, with the Tractor Boys still struggling to cope with the demands of Premier League football, as demonstrated by their home loss to Everton last weekend. Brentford have been banging the goals in for fun and whilst Ipswich won’t necessarily fear this assignment, Brentford should keep their momentum going with a home win, justifying their favouritism for this one with most EPL betting sites.
Aston Villa vs Bournemouth – Aston Villa to win
10/11 at Betzone
Both of these sides picked up excellent results last weekend, with Aston Villa fighting back to overcome Fulham and Bournemouth producing an excellent display to overcome Arsenal at home. Villa have another busy week, with Champions League football on the agenda too but this is a chance to put on a show in front of their home fans and push on with their top 4 challenge. Meanwhile, Bournemouth should be brimming with confidence after beating Arsenal, but this will be a stern test at Villa Park and the home side should manage to come out on top in this one.
Brighton vs Wolves – Brighton to win
8/13 at Rhino Bet
It was ecstasy and heartbreak in equal measure for these sides last weekend, as Brighton produced a dogged display to overcome Newcastle United at St James’s Park, whilst John Stones broke Wolves hearts with a late winner for Manchester City. Brighton will be relishing the chance to put on a show for their home fans, but it was against the ‘lesser’ teams where they struggled the most last season – particularly at home. Wolves meanwhile will take heart from pushing City all the way, even if they came up short and they will want to show a similar amount of resistance here. That said, Brighton look to be in great nick, and they should come out on top in this one.
