It has been a serene start to the new Premier League season for most of the big hitters, with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all winning their opening two games relatively comfortably. Down at the bottom of the pile, problems continue for the likes of Everton and Ipswich Town but there are 5 sides in total who have yet to pick up a point this term and with each week that passes by the need for points becomes greater.
Arsenal vs Brighton – Arsenal to win

Having picked up solid wins from their opening two games, the Arsenal Premier League title campaign is really starting to gather momentum. Mikel Arteta’s side take on a Brighton side who are full of confidence yet and who have also started the new season with a 100% winning streak. Brighton have picked up some very good results against Arsenal in the past, notably a 3-0 win at the Emirates Stadium back in 2023 but there is renewed steel and optimism surrounding Arsenal, who have spent big to feature at the sharp end of the Premier League table and they should come out on top here in the eyes of most punters and EPL betting sites.
Brentford vs Southampton – Brentford to win

It has been a curious start to the campaign for Brentford, who have applied themselves well in both of their opening games. The pending departure of star striker Ivan Toney is yet to have an adverse effect on the Bees, but they will be desperate for this transfer saga to have ended by the time that they take on Southampton. For the Saints, this is another chance for them to open their account, having fallen short in both of their opening games against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United by a single goal. This should be a very good game, with Brentford likely to prevail in front of their home support.
Leicester vs Aston Villa – Aston Villa to win

A painful defeat to Arsenal last time out won’t be sitting too well with Aston Villa players and fans this week and they will be eager to set the record straight at Leicester this weekend. Steve Cooper’s Foxes haven’t been able win a game yet this term but showed up well against Tottenham and Fulham and they will have a real crack at Villa at home here. Meanwhile, the Villains have a Champions League draw to keep an eye on this week and they will be looking to start developing consistency again in the Premier League. This should be an entertaining watch, with Villa ready to pick up three more points on the road.
