With players returning from international duty, there is plenty on the line once again in the Premier League and there is a huge amount at stake on the return to domestic action. Liverpool have started life under Arne Slot in fine fashion and they will be looking to keep that 100% start going at home against Nottingham Forest, whilst unbeaten Brighton will be looking to keep their record going against Ipswich Town. Chelsea have made a tough start to the campaign, and it doesn’t look to be getting any easier, as they visit Bournemouth in an intriguing Saturday Night Football encounter.
Brighton vs Ipswich Town – Brighton to win
2/5 at Rhino Bet
The 2024/25 season could not have started any better for Brighton, who have picked up 7 points from their opening 3 games, which includes a hard fought point on the road at Arsenal. With Manchester United having been beaten too, the Seagulls look well placed to challenge for European football this term and newly promoted Ipswich Town await next. The Tractor Boys have acquitted themselves very well so far, picking up one point against Fulham last time out but they know that this will be a tough assignment. Brighton are tough to beat at home and they are being backed to continue their good start to the campaign by many punters and EPL betting sites.
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest – Liverpool to win
2/9 at Rhino Bet
Similarly, the Arne Slot era at Liverpool has started on a perfect footing too and the Dutchman will be wanting more of the same as Nottingham Forest visit Anfield. The reds have scored 7 and conceded 0 from their opening three games and they have a look of a side ready to challenge on all four fronts once again this term. Nottingham Forest meanwhile are also unbeaten and are going about their business very impressively under Nuno Espirito Santo. This will be a much tougher game than the odds suggest but Liverpool should have enough about them to overcome Nottingham Forest at home here.
Bournemouth vs Chelsea – Chelsea to win
21/20 at Betzone
Bournemouth are yet another unbeaten side and their showings both home and away have been very good this term. Next up is the arrival of Chelsea, a side in a real state of flux and who can’t seem to string two decent performances together. Bournemouth are always tough to beat at home and they should be ready to rattle into Chelsea’s expensively assembled squad here. However, Chelsea have been playing better football on the road this term, without the pressure of the Stamford Bridge faithful on their back and they could turn on the style to overcome Bournemouth in this one.
