A top three of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal looks to have been established this term, with the rest simply playing catch up. Manchester United are way off the pace so far this term but take on Brentford next at Old Trafford, whilst Fulham will be looking to take on another of the big boys in Aston Villa. Elsewhere, Newcastle United were made to rue a missed opportunity at Everton last time out and they host high-flying Brighton next.
Manchester United vs Brentford – Manchester United to win

Erik ten Hag is a manager seriously under the pump at Manchester United and the Dutchman looks to have the chance to ease the pressure on him here, as the Red Devils take on Brentford. United have won just twice so far this term, scoring 5 goals in 7 games and there is a lack of urgency in their forward play that is concerning onlookers. By contrast, Brentford are flying high under Thomas Frank, banging in the goals for fun and dreaming of a top 8 finish. This should be a good one and with United needing a win, they look good value to get one here with most EPL betting sites.
Fulham vs Aston Villa – Aston Villa to win
2/1 at Betzone
It felt like a really big, missed opportunity for Fulham at Manchester City last weekend, as the Cottagers missed a hatful of chances and ultimately let the champions off the hook. Aston Villa meanwhile have been in decent nick so far this term under Unai Emery, as they look to balance Champions League commitments with life in the Premier League. This should be a good game, especially with Fulham at home but Villa are a very good side, and they should have the fire power to prevail.
Newcastle United vs Brighton – Newcastle United to win

One of the games of the weekend looks to be on the card here, as Newcastle United host Brighton at St James’s Park. Both sides have started the campaign in bright and breezy fashion, and they will both be confident of being able to push on as the season develops. Newcastle missed a penalty at Everton last weekend, drawing with the Toffees but the signs have been good for Eddie Howe’s men. Brighton meanwhile picked up a superb comeback win over Tottenham last weekend and they will be fully confident coming into this one. That said, Newcastle are very good at home, and they could win this one.
