This is a Grade 3 NH Handicap Chase race for horses aged five and over. It’s run in April at the Aintree Grand National and consists of 19 jumping fences across two miles. Initially, this race was a limited handicap (restricted to a specified weight range) and was given Grade 2 status in 1991.
Later, in 2001, it changed to a standard handicap and was renamed Red Rum Handicap Chase. The name Red Rum is in memory of the three-time Grand National winner during the 1970s. In 2004 the race was promoted to Grade 3.

Red Rum Handicap Steeple Chase Tips, Predictions, and Previews
Note: the tips below refer to the 2021 Grand National Festival; updated previews will be available on the week of the 2022 Festival.
Lots of strong contenders here. Top-weight Getaway Trump has a chance, as does On The Slopes from the same mark as his promising Cheltenham run lat time. Moon Over Germany won this in 2019 and has Jordan Gainford claiming 7lb, he’s respected but there might be more to come from FRERO BANBOU. His stylish Sandown success was his first start post wind surgery and Venetia Williams’ charge might defy the assessor.
Selection: Frero Banbou @ 9/1
